00:07Back to 7-800 cattle for May, but yeah, good quality in the feeder steers and heifers at the top

00:13And then as we come off the top, we saw some mixed cattle throughout the balance of the yarding.
00:18So all the quality in the feeder run was probably in the Angus steers, 380 to 450 to 60 kilos.
00:26We're pretty well represented and prices from 520 out to 530 or 40, and I think one or two pence
00:32may have been better than that.
00:34So that'd have to be 20 or 30 cents better on the top end of the feeder steers.
00:39Heifers were pretty well sought after as well.
00:42If you had the weight to feed sort of 380 and up, they were 460 or 470 or 80 is
00:48probably the top end of those.
00:49But yeah, 3 or 4 feedlot buyers were pretty keen to secure feeder numbers.
00:56And then when we got into those lighter weights, did we see a few more opportunities there?
01:00Definitely more opportunities in those lighter calves today.
01:03So yeah, you come down to 280 to 320 or 30 kilos and you're back around $5 on the black
01:11steers.
01:11Maybe a shade less on the coloured steers and yeah, some of those sub 300 kilo headers down as long
01:18as $3.80 or $4.
01:19So there's opportunity there if you can carry them through the winter and get into the spring.
01:24I think there's definitely margin in those.
01:25Tell us a little bit about how the season's tracking.
01:27We've had a pretty good wake of rain.
01:29How was the season?
01:30No, we needed that.
01:30That's the rain we needed.
01:31We had to have.
01:32So yeah, a really good early break in the lower southeast and up the coast.
01:37We missed a few nervous people probably a fortnight ago with some of those hot northerlies and warm days.
01:41And yeah, thankfully, yeah, over the weekend and early parts of this week, we've received up to sort of 30
01:46mils in parts.
01:48So yeah, that saved us.
01:49And I think, yeah, I think we're all home now for a good winter.
01:51And that probably reflected in the prices today, do you think?
01:54Yeah, it did.

01:55And that probably reflected in the numbers that we've seen, I think.
01:58So yeah, if you've got Catalan now, they're forward enough to get through.
02:01So yeah, we're going to probably see a few less numbers in the next three or four months.
