Transcript
00:00I'm Alexandra Bernard and this week in the store cattle market prices rose at sale yards across
00:06the state. With good seasonal conditions in the central tablelands and the north,
00:12restockers were active in the market. At car call last Friday, restockers stepped up,
00:18putting a floor in the market and picking up lighter calves with the hope of a strong spring
00:23coming through. These lighter calves sold for $50 a head dearer. Meanwhile, up at Tamworth, despite a
00:31smaller gallery of buyers, prices were firm to dearer, with feature cattle a highlight of the sale.
00:39Queensland buyers were particularly strong on weaner steers as well as feeders and back rounders
00:45competing.
