00:00Senior police officials have emphasized that there are no files missing as it relates to Deputy Commissioner of Police Suzette Martin.
00:07On Monday, a story was published in the Daily Newspaper claiming that Martin had formally requested a copy of a file from Assistant Commissioner of Police Kurt Simon, the lead investigator in her matter.
00:19However, she had gotten no response. It was alleged that the file was missing.
00:24TTPS officials today denied that any files were unaccounted for.
00:28Speaking on sister station I-95.5 FM, ACP Simon said that the report on the missing file was not true.
00:37He even denied receiving any requests from Martin for any files.
00:42Simon said the file is in his possession and no file has gone missing.
00:46Additionally, police sources have stated that Martin remained in her role as one of the executives of the TTPS up to today.
00:54The Police Service Commission has yet to make a decision on Martin, even in light of the ongoing investigation.
01:01Last Monday, Commissioner Alistair Guevaro announced that an investigation into allegations made by a firearms dealer against DCP Martin,
01:11who heads the Intelligence and Investigations Division of the TTPS, had been launched.
01:16Guevaro simply said that the matter was already in the public domain and that the announcement was made by the TTPS
01:23to ensure transparency and accountability in the way the investigation was handled.
01:29He also indicated that he had informed the Police Service Commission of what had transpired.
