Political leader of the Pnm Tobago Council Ancil Dennis was on Wednesday night screened unopposed for the Buccoo/ Mt. Pleasant seat, a seat he lost in the 2021 THA election. On Thursday the Pnm announced the successful screening of seven candidates.  Elizabeth Williams was at the screening process at the John Dial Multi-Purpose Facility and has this report.

00:00A number of persons were screened towards the upcoming Tobago House of Assembly elections.
00:06One of those persons, now a retired police officer.
00:10They all expressed confidence in the screening process.
00:14An exciting day into night of screening of prospective candidates for the PNM
00:18for the upcoming Tobago House of Assembly election.
00:21The first person to be screened was political leader of the PNM Tobago Council, Ansel Dennis,
00:27unopposed for the Buku-Mont Pleasant seat.
00:30Also screened for the Lambeau Lowland seat,
00:33Kelvin Horsford, popularly known as Harvest God.
00:36Jason Caesar was also screened for that seat.
00:40Harvest God received the nod.
00:43Minority leader Kelvin Morris was listed unopposed for the Daryl Spring Wim seat.
00:48Former national footballer Karen Forbes was approved for the Plymouth Black Rock seat.
00:53For Signal Hill Patience Hill, Brian Harris was successful.
00:57against two others.
00:59Bonacord Cronpoint Dominique Kerr received the nod from two others,
01:03including retired police officer Sterling Roberts.
01:06And for Bettel Newgrange, Sterling Timothy was selected.
01:11The PNM stated screening for seven more electoral districts
01:15will take place on Tuesday 1st, 2025,
01:18at the John Dial Multipurpose Facility, beginning at 4 p.m.
01:23The areas are Bagatelle, Bacalette, Bell Garden, Glenmorgan, Daryl Spring, Wim,
01:29Mason Hall, Mariah, Mount St. George, Goodwood, Roxborough, Argyle, and Scarborough, Mount Grace.
01:36The party said the names of all successful candidates will be officially announced in due course
01:41as it remains committed to presenting a slate of capable, community-rooted,
01:46and forward-thinking candidates who are ready to deliver for the people of Tobago.
