00:00CONCACAF President Victor Montagliani touched these shows on Sunday afternoon with the intention
00:06of monitoring the progress the country is making in football.
00:10According to TTFA President Kieran Edwards, this initiative is a step in the right direction
00:15if the country is to become a force to be reckoned with in the region.
00:18It's important in terms of the progression of what we've been doing over the last year
00:23as the new executive of the TTFA to have visits like this, these courtesy calls to show what
00:29we've been doing and more so in terms of where we want to go and have that relationship with
00:34our program but in terms of CONCACAF in the region, it's important.
00:40Both presidents have a busy schedule as meetings are planned for Monday.
00:44According to Montagliani, it's an honor to be back in this country to see the work the current
00:48administration is doing.
00:50It's great to see football, first of all your league kind of back, your national team progressing,
00:59obviously you've got some big matches coming up, qualify for the gold cup, and the work
01:04that's been done in short order by Kieran and his team.
01:08CONCACAF has lived for the last eight years since I've been president on the philosophy
01:12of football first.
01:14There's always a lot of white noise in football and yes you have to deal with some of that,
01:19but football first is making every decision in the best interest of football.
01:23The TTFA president also presented Montagliani with a Trinidad and Tobago football jersey.
01:29Then it was the turn of the CONCACAF president to show his appreciation.
01:32But our one CONCACAF vision is that we're stronger as 41 together and in Trinidad the TTFA plays
01:39a strong part in that and your leadership does so in recognition of that I want to thank you
01:43for your leadership and obviously for the warm reception given to myself and my team.
01:50A side visit at the home of football in Kuva is also on the CONCACAF president's list.
