00:00Trinidad and Tobago captain Joshua De Silva is a relieved man as the Legions are automatically
00:05into Saturday's final after topping the CWI breakout league group stage.
00:09TNT had to rely on the outcome of the final preliminary round game between the Leward
00:13Island's Thunder and the Winward Island's Infernos to know their fate.
00:17In the end, the Infernos won and finished on 28 points, three behind the Legions, while
00:22the Thunder took third spot with 20.
00:25It means TNT will await the winner of Friday's playoff between the Lewards and the Winwards.
00:29Last night we were playing a practice match and we were watching the game on the stream
00:34and we were nail biting.
00:36I was going to bat next and I think I sent somebody else to bat because I just wanted to see what
00:39was going to happen in that Winwards-Lewards game.
00:40But yeah, it was good.
00:42We played some really good cricket, played some not so good cricket, which is good.
00:45I think we haven't played our best cricket yet going into the finals, so really excited
00:50to go straight in and hopefully we get the results there.
00:52Regarding the tournament, TNT won four games and lost one, but the red, white and black
00:57earned some bonus points to take top spot in the end.
01:00According to the skipper, there have been many positives for TNT in the breakout league.
01:04Yeah, we've had a few players that stood out, we have Navin Bedesi who's been doing really
01:08well, bowling his leg spin and scoring a couple of runs.
01:11Christian Turton came in the last game and played a remarkable half-century.
01:15I think it's been a really collective effort, we've seen Django do it a couple of times.
01:18It's not one person all the time, which is good.
01:20So I don't think it's all just one person or two people.
01:24I think the whole team, even the coaching staff has been trying and helping as much as they
01:27can off the field to help us do the things on the field.
01:30One person who De Silva says cannot be forgotten is Pacer Johan Lehn.
01:34Lehn picked up eight wickets from the five games during the preliminary stage.
01:38Yeah, for sure.
01:39We know the quality that he brings.
01:41He's been exceptional with the new ball, he's been swinging it, he's been getting early
01:44wickets and then he's been coming back in the back end and doing the job, which is really
01:48good what we need.
01:49The experience that he brings playing CPL and just knowing what to do when the situation
01:53comes is really good and yeah, he's been a quality player for us.
01:56The games have not seen a full house at Teruba, including the ones involving
02:00the TNT Legions.
02:01As such, De Silva has a message for the people of Trinidad and Tobago.
02:05Yeah, I hope the whole of Trinidad can come out.
02:07I would love to see a Pac Brian Lara.
02:09Last time against Trinidad and CPL I got a pretty good crowd, well, playing for St.
02:13Kitts that is, but still nonetheless, now playing for Trinidad, I hope they can come out and
02:16support us.
02:17We've made it straight to the final.
02:18So, I know Trinidad love to win and we love to win as well, so their support is really
02:23going to be appreciated.
02:24TNT's group stage loss came against the Leeward Islands Thunder.
02:28Time will tell if the two meet again on Saturday evening.
02:31We know it now.
02:32Any tips export?
