00:00Four elderly men between the ages of 63 to 73 years old were assaulted and robbed at their residence at Saddle Road in San Juan.
00:11According to police, around 2 p.m. on Thursday, two men entered the home and announced a robbery.
00:17The suspects, one of African descent and the other of East Indian descent, were armed with firearms.
00:23They ordered the victims to lie on the floor.
00:26During the incident, one of the suspects physically assaulted the men, dealing several blows to their bodies.
00:33The other suspect took a gold chain valued at $3,000 and cash from one of the victims.
00:39The suspects then fled the scene.
00:41San Juan police officers responded.
00:43The victims were interviewed and advised to seek medical attention.

01:16The incident is said to have occurred on September 13, 2024, when the 35-year-old victim was contacted by a man claiming to be an employee at a popular pharmacy, requesting an exchange of U.S. dollars for TT dollars to assist in an urgent medical procedure.
01:36The victim transferred $140,000 to one bank account and $50,000 to another account, following which he never received the U.S. in exchange and was subsequently unable to contact the perpetrator.
