A 75 year-old has been charged for money laundering and a murder accused is in critical condition at hospital.

00:00A murder accused is in critical condition following a stabbing incident at the Maximum
00:05Security Prison on Wednesday afternoon, according to reports.
00:09Shortly before 2pm, prison's officers were alerted that a 32-year-old inmate was bleeding
00:14from a neck wound in the bathroom of his cell.
00:17The inmate shared the cell with two others, who reported finding him on the floor after
00:22he took an unusually long time in the shower.
00:26Prison officers responded and notified the infirmary.
00:29Medical personnel attended to the injured inmate before he was transferred to the Eric
00:33Williams Medical Sciences Complex.
00:36He was treated by doctors and placed in a medically induced coma, where he is expected
00:41to remain for approximately four days.
00:44And in other news, a 75-year-old man has been charged with 32 counts of money laundering.
00:50Ernest Bailey of Arima was also charged with obtaining over $141,000 by false pretenses
00:57when he appeared before the judge on Wednesday.
01:00He was granted bail with surety in the sum of $400,000 to cover all the charges and ordered
01:06to report to a police station twice a month.
01:09The matter was postponed to May 16.
