00:24today.
00:24Speaking at the symposium, the minister questioned how society can stay young people away from negative influences and criminal activity.
00:34How do we move away the youth from the TG's?
00:38You know the TG's?
00:42Guns, gills and gold.
00:46How do we move them away from that?
00:50What could you say to them that will move them away from that?
00:57Do you have money to give them free?
01:00What do you say to a youth when he tells you, listen, Mr. Alexander, I ain't really into this school
01:05thing, you know.
01:07It's a moderation for me.
01:10I'm on the block.
01:11I just make a thousand four a day.
01:16What did we do or did not do?
01:21Minister Alexander also stressed the importance of strong family foundations in helping young people resist those influences.
01:30The changing mindset.
01:34Did you give your children the foundation that is necessary?
01:39That no street, no gold, no girls, no gun could influence them otherwise.
01:49And let them know that they are wasting their time to influence you.
