00:00Three, two.
00:03When it came to inspiring young broadcasters like myself, I was 28 when I joined the Big 95.7.
00:08And thank you again, Danny Highsmith, for taking a chance on a young, inexperienced broadcaster.
00:14But when it came to motivating young broadcasters and setting an example of what to do,
00:18I remember seeing Danny every day.
00:20He's writing notes, going to the post office.
00:22These are thank you notes.
00:23These are happy birthday notes.
00:25And Danny, I still do that today.
00:27And I still run into people, like I ran into a pastor a while back that said,
00:31Danny Highsmith is the only guy that's ever not forgotten my birthday.
00:35And that was a great lesson, motivational, inspirational, and just a great tool as a young broadcaster
00:43that I borrowed, if you don't mind.
00:46So thank you.
00:47Thank you for that.
00:49Also, Danny, every morning would come by the KML studio with a smile, sometimes a handshake,
00:55and a, good morning, Don.
00:57I almost did my Danny Highsmith impersonation.
01:00But, Danny, your smile and your positive mental attitude all day long.
01:04I don't think I ever saw you have a bad day.
01:07But that attitude just rubbed off on me and everyone else.
01:13And I can't thank you for that, for being a great teacher, having a great attitude,
01:18and just being someone that cares, that has a heart for our community.
01:22You wrote the book on that.
01:23I can't thank you enough.
