00:57for asking me to be a part of the panel i didn't know what to feel i was just like

01:07i feel like people don't understand like we all have a story and of course we have some similarities
01:13but i feel like everybody has their own different story that somebody out there can relate to
01:18yes so i don't know i mean how you feel about destiny what you feeling like you ready are you
01:23ready i'm so excited i'm ready to tell my story give out some confident jewels because i do call
01:29myself the confident guru for everybody that don't know confident guru i like that i do so okay
01:35spreading wisdom spreading wisdom right right and what i love about destiny is like definitely destiny
01:41is so raw when it comes to like her post i don't think she realized that she's like dropping gems

02:07met taylee like she had my back when it came to like the photos and everything the photography really
02:14like literally i don't know if you know the last time that i came to you to promote my play
02:18she was the one that did all of my photography for my for my play like my you know my

02:24she did all of my headshots so she is amazing i don't think people know who taylee is like she

02:29a lot with like um the tech week yeah um is it called like detroit tech week is that what
02:34it's
02:34so can you tell us more that happens every saturday right so i do black tech saturday so i'm the
02:38photographer yes i knew it saturday yes i'm also the director of photography for tedx pontiac
02:43okay so super cool and then me and my husband he's a photographer as well sean lee so we have
02:48combined forces yes and now we have part of the city photography time yes studio so we are located
02:55at southfield so y'all we ready we ready photos we about to have a good time oh my god

03:02i feel like um not only are we gonna be you know just talking to the ladies but i feel
03:07like it's a
03:08good networking um event as well because i feel like a lot of times in the community of women i

03:14speak for myself um we're like hey i need this but i don't know who to call so i feel
03:19like this is kind
03:20of bringing us together so not only can people call on us the future panelists but i hope while
03:26you guys are at the event that you are mingling and talking with others you know just so you can
03:31see you know that yeah that vibe because it's never about what you do it's all about who you know
03:36yes and so i'm just excited about that and we have to shout out mercedes scott okay okay everybody
03:42know that she is an actress she is a singer she's she does everything honestly i just feel like this
03:49panel is just and then laurie i feel like you don't talk about yourself because the fact that
03:56we're on the on your show and you you're just so humble i don't think people get how like sweet

04:03are you know what i'm saying and i'm just so proud of you and like your growth and i we
04:08appreciate you
04:08just having us on your show in the first place i'm happy i'm able to do it so i'm just
04:12like it's
04:12like a full circle moment for real because we're able to talk amongst each other and we're gonna be
04:16able to make a a whole thing out of an event a beautiful moment for ladies sisterhood that's
04:21what i'm that's what it's about and i'm just happy that i'm able to be a part of that moment
04:24with all of you beautiful ladies and a part of it for another woman another group of ladies
04:29you can bring your your sisters your mothers this is one of them type of events that you just don't
04:34want to miss yes you can just chime in you can ask us questions we can talk about it i
04:39mean
04:39the real tea might be spilled i want to definitely let people know get somebody the holy ghost
04:44yeah because you know listen because we can go to church okay okay we can sit around that offer and
04:51play don't play with me vocals to match listen we you know i'm gonna have church forever
04:57we can't hype you up with that thank you for all the things that you do for all the patience

05:09you the reason like yeah yeah yeah i feel like i feel like at this time in my life i'm

05:17that i thought i couldn't and and honestly it was nobody telling me i couldn't it was it was me
05:22like me just operating out of fear i was just scared to put stuff out i was scared to just

05:28for it because you think about man i don't have the budget i don't have this i don't have that
05:31and then it's like i'm so grateful to have people like you that's like hey i'm gonna ride this way
05:36with you and we're gonna make something happen and then it's like we just have each other's back
05:40because if one person get on we all get on we all get on and i just feel like ladies
05:43should be like
05:44that in the first place because we all we got and it's hard out here for us it's hard that
05:48was my next
05:49like what came up with the concept for this yes honestly because i feel like women um have
05:56different events we have like empowerment events we have things like that but we're missing
05:59events where we can just literally talk yes so it's not like i don't want to talk at anybody i
06:05don't want somebody to think that i have all the answers because i don't right honey i'm in the car
06:10with my praise and worship music every day trying to get myself i'm two seconds away sometimes from
06:14crash out yes so i'm telling people all the time that we need each other and it's okay to say
06:21hey
06:22i need to ask somebody else because i need to make sure that they understand like where i'm coming
06:27from so i don't make sure it's a lot and then we have so many different ideas ideas of what
06:33we're
06:33supposed to be what we're supposed to look like what we're supposed to you know sound like and it's like
06:39it's just therapeutic to be able to be in a room full of people that are just humble beautiful
06:46intelligent like resilient all of that in a room and then we just bounce things off of each other
06:51bounce ideas trying to figure it out we just thank you i couldn't have said it better we're literally
06:57trying to figure it out and i feel like that's what we're missing just that raw conversation and
07:03i think a lot of people um misunderstood when i know some people were probably thinking man this
07:08gonna be an event they just gonna be me and bashing no right no no this is not that type
07:13of an event
07:13honestly this is an event like it's a girl's not out yeah healing you just being able to want to
07:18be
07:18exactly stuff you just can't get out yeah we'll be able to relate now we're gonna talk about men
07:23but we're not gonna bash right we're not gonna bash right but we're gonna talk about men because
07:27that's just something that we need to talk about okay no saving for the conversation don't give it to
07:33them now and that's exactly why i didn't get no questions down when we did it when i started
07:37this interview because i wanted it to be just as raw as it's going to be april the 8th okay

10:55i'm right there with the with the nerves like i said earlier even though i am on the radio and

11:00for a living i still get nervous yeah i still get the generous when i'm talking in front of a
11:04lot of
11:04amazing people you know what i'm saying it's intimidating sometimes so i'm excited to just
11:09tell my story just like everybody else to be there to just really just take it all in because
11:15that's really what i'm there for i'm really there to just take it in and just oh just experience it
11:19because this is going to be a first for me and i'm just excited to talk to women to just
11:23have that
11:23girl power yes i think girl power yes i'm excited it's not my first rodeo but it's my first rodeo
11:31after having a baby yeah congratulations thank you thank you she is two months baby grace but the
11:41excitement i have is being able to exhale and to breathe i think we all are moving and doing all
11:49these different things and activities and it's great but being in a room with another woman that
11:53can say hey let's just let's just breathe for the next few hours let's just talk for the next few
11:58hours so if y'all didn't know i'm also a therapist yes listen help me so help us being mindful
12:04in the
12:05moment and being present yeah and i think that is what this experience is going to have we're going
12:09to laugh we're going to joke we're going to exhale and then you're gonna be able to look at the
12:13next
12:13woman and say girl i'm so proud of you yep yes yeah i think we need that from each other
12:17like because i feel
12:18like we're so hard on each other yes yes absolutely and i'm like if you would know that that woman
12:27that's standing next to you is probably going through the same thing that you're going through
12:31you would be a little easier on her yeah be kind like let's just be kind it's gonna be a
12:36great
12:37positive event i'm really excited about it i feel like sometimes when people see things positive they
12:43might think it's like fake or you know but it's like no like we really are not mean girls in
12:49real
12:49life we're really nice women and we're just passionate about exactly and we're passionate
12:54about each other too exactly those are negative people yes yes so this is gonna be we're gonna talk
13:00about y'all too we're gonna talk about y'all too listen being positive patty will get you through life
13:06honey because life already throws you some things and it's like if you can't be positive then you're just
13:11gonna be always in the negative and you have to make a choice being happy and being positive is a
13:17choice so and i just feel like i wanted to make a choice to do something like this that you
13:22know just
13:22helps us so it's gonna be great but yes so the live conversation girls night out april 8th okay it's

13:29wednesday night i know y'all gotta go to work the next day i know you gotta go to school
13:32i know it's a
13:33school night but take this time for you so get a sitter lead them kids with they daddy and
13:39come out have a good time have some good drinks get some drinks get some food and let me tell

13:52a great time we're gonna set the move gonna have some music and then everybody has been asking me
13:57about the attire honestly i think just dress to impress because i feel like it's your you want to feel
14:04good yes like whatever makes you feel good wear it if you want to wear a dress wear that dress

14:12you want to wear jeans and a cute top do that if you want to wear flats do that whatever
14:16it was just
14:17dress how you feel but give give yourself that time to get dressed turn on your music do what you
14:23need to
14:24do like hair yes this is your night yes yes like have your informations on the wall do whatever you
14:31got to do just you know just feel your best because we want you to feel your best and then
14:35you have a
