00:00Welcome back to another Luan theme mod review. Today we are looking at the camps mod.

00:06And what this mod does is it adds a, I guess we would say a portable campsite.

00:11So you'll get a 10 by 10 square.

00:15Well, 10 by 10 by 10 actually, because you get 10 nodes of height.

00:18Although only 9 nodes is really buildable because the bottom layer here is one of the nodes.

00:24So yeah, pretty much a little spot of the world.

00:26I guess not really the world. A little spot not of the world? I don't know.

00:32But yeah, you get this little area so you could build a little house.

00:35And you see I have a bed here so I can go ahead and sleep and skip through the night.

00:42Go ahead and store chests so you can store your items in it.

00:45And then of course I built this tower of stone just to see how tall I could go.

00:51And there's the access that didn't come with.

00:53But you could build walls around it so you have a safe place to spend the night.

00:59Yeah, your chest so you could go ahead and, oh I don't know, maybe have a furnace.

01:07Because that's always good to have.

01:09So you could spend the night someplace and cook the things that you've harvested during the day.

01:15And then once you're done camping and you want to go ahead and move along, you know, we're ready to embark on the next leg of our journey.

01:25I'll just throw those back in here because I don't need them on me.

01:27I will just go ahead and punch the camp node in the center.

01:30It picks it back up.

01:31The ground is restored to original so this piece of grass comes back.

01:35That was buried.

01:36And we are ready to go.

01:39And then the next time we want to go ahead and set up camp.

01:42Oh, I don't know.

01:43We'll just say we want to set camp over here today.

01:47Go ahead and place it.

01:49And our chest with our stone with some extra camps stored in the chest.

01:55Our furnace.

01:57Our bed.

01:57We can only sleep at night.

01:58So, and then this goofy tower.

02:03So, let's make things more fun.

02:05Let's take a look at some of these other camps.

02:08So, well, actually, before we even do that, let's go ahead and look at the craft recipe because that's kind of important.

02:13So, the camp itself is this.

02:17Yes, this is the camp.

02:18So, they are a little expensive.

02:20You're going to need a diamond block.

02:22You'll need these diamond alloys, which take stone, or stone, take golden diamond.

02:27And then you're going to need a destructor and a constructor.

02:32And you'll see that steel block and some diamonds.

02:34And gold block and some diamonds.

02:37And then lastly, you will need the storage nodes.

02:39I believe two of these, which is the diamond alloy, several chests, and some steel ingots.

02:46And then, you know, you mix all that together, and you will get a camp.

02:50And you'll notice it says .camp000000.

02:53And if I go ahead and look at my inventory, I have a couple with the 0000, and I have a couple with a random string of letters.

03:03Now, I haven't seen a way to rename these at all.

03:08You pretty much, when you point at it, it just tells you 76983.

03:12And I can go ahead and punch that, and then place it 76983.

03:17So, yeah, holding down the sneak key doesn't make any difference.

03:23So, I don't think we're going to see anything happening there.

03:26But, let's go ahead and move these ones out of the way.

03:32So, these are all my actual camps, and these are my blank camps.

03:35So, as soon as you place a blank camp that you have crafted out, we'll just go ahead and place this one here.

03:41It just gets a random, or seemingly random.

03:46It may be something based off of the original world coordinates.

03:49It may be placed based off of world time.

03:52I don't know.

03:53We're just going to go ahead and remove that one, though.

03:56And you will see now it has a number.

03:58They are not stackable.

04:00I'm just switching them around.

04:01So, I just, here we go.

04:04I'll put this one down here.

04:05I don't remember what I have in all these camps.

04:09Ah, this was to see what the size of the camp was.

04:13So, that's a 10 by 10.

04:15And now, if you try to place a camp here, oh, that one must have just been on the cusp, so it was okay.

04:21But if we try to place one here, we'll say, if you get a chat messaging, it's too close to the camp.

04:27You cannot place a camp inside of a camp.

04:29I tried that, just for lulz, to see what would happen.

04:34Oh, here I have one that I put a little wall around to keep me safe from the wild animals.

04:42Yeah.

04:43And then we can just go ahead and take all these back.

04:47I can't quite reach this one.

04:48There we go.

04:49I'll take that back.

04:51Thank you very much.

04:52Oh, no.

04:54Something broke.

04:55That's interesting.

05:00Seems to be a glitch there.

05:07Interesting.

05:10Can't deploy too close to another camp.

05:12Well, but...

05:17I deployed this other one somehow.

05:23Okay.

05:23I don't know.

05:25Clearly, that's not supposed to be possible.

05:29And yet, somehow it was.

05:32Oh, wait.

05:32No.

05:33Yeah, no.

05:34Wait.

05:34There was a piece of stone on that that now disappeared.

05:39But now reappeared.

05:40Okay.

05:44I don't know exactly how I managed to pull that off.

05:46But that's not supposed to be able to happen.

05:49I don't have any tools, so I don't know if I can actually break this.

05:53All right.

05:53I have a diamond pick.

05:54Obviously, I can break the stone.

05:56I can't break these.

05:58So, what would appear is if I'm just kind of stuck with those in my world.

06:06Yeah.

06:06Clearly, that wasn't supposed to be able to happen.

06:08Okay.

06:10Some kind of a check went wrong in it.

06:14It did not catch that there was already a platform or a camp there.

06:18So, that's a bit sad.

06:24Because now it's just there forever and I can't get rid of it.

06:27But, oh, well.

06:28That's the camps.

06:30So, it's pretty handy.

06:33You know, traveling around at night in a cave on the ground wherever you are, near or far.

06:38You just pop one of these suckers down and you have a safe place to spend the night.

06:44I wonder if we can place this in water.

06:46Let me just run over to the water real quick and we'll find out.

06:49I bet we can't, but I bet right on the very shoreline we can.

06:52It would be odd if it let me point this at water.

06:56I could probably place it under the water though.

06:58Yeah, okay.

07:01So, we can place it right in the water.

07:03And, if you had a full wall, we would be safe.

07:11Okay, I would have expected that to have placed higher.

07:14There we go.

07:15That's partially in the water, but the water seems to be draining out.

07:19Okay, that all seems to be...

07:21Oh, didn't it place water above the ground where it shouldn't have been?

07:23Let's try to place it completely underwater.

07:28Okay, and it places all underwater.

07:32And, everything seems to work as it should.

07:35So, what about placing it into a hill?

07:38Let's try this out.

07:40If we go right there.

07:45Okay, well that's...

07:47That's an interesting...

07:49So, when I dug this camp,

07:54it registered the 10x10x10 cube of water as well.

07:58So, now if I remove that, I bet there's going to be...

08:01flowing water out here.

08:05Mmm, so I may have ruined this camp by placing it underwater.

08:09Because these are all water source nodes.

08:11So, probably pro tip.

08:15Don't place your camp underwater.

08:18Because you kind of fill it with water.

08:21And the only way to unfill it with water would be to...

08:24completely fill it with another material,

08:26and then dig all that material out to replace the water.

08:29So, yeah.

08:31Probably don't do that.

08:33The more you know.

08:35Let me get rid of that plank, because it makes it look ugly.

08:37There we go.

08:38Well, there you have it.

08:40The camps mod.
