00:00Welcome back to another Luan Team Mod review. Today we are looking at the Ellie's Flowers Mod.
00:06Now this mod adds, was it 27, I think, at time of recording at least, new types of flowers.
00:15And these are all based off of, oh this is really a bad spot to be standing, let's get the sun on my back, that's better.
00:21These are all based off of real life flowers.
00:24What was it called? The information is sourced from the National Audubon Society's Wildflowers of North America Handbook.
00:35So, I'm thinking that means these are all native to North America flowers.
00:43I am familiar with some.
00:45So, most of these flowers, well, I shouldn't say that, all of these flowers, here we have a quick overview of them,
00:53will spawn in the more or less biomes realistically.
00:57The spawns are based on real life taxonomy.
01:01And then they do also give you, for all, but I thought one didn't have it.
01:08Oh, maybe, maybe I'm mistaken.
01:09They give you the, oh yeah, this one here, the Evening Primrose.
01:12I don't see the, is that the Latin name for them?
01:16But the other ones here all have the Latin names.
01:22I don't know what the capital letter in the period is.
01:27Like, I don't, I don't know, I don't know any Latin, so I don't know what that means.
01:30However, I did want to, where's the bleeding heart?
01:33Western Bleeding Heart.
01:35De Formosa.
01:37I don't actually know where that is here.
01:39I know I put one out, because I put some of all of them out.
01:42I didn't want to take a look at the Bleeding Hearts, because, no, that's not the Bleeding
01:46Heart.
01:47Oh, here we go.
01:49Okay, I mean, that's not, that is not a bad representation of what a Bleeding Heart looks
01:55like.
01:55My mom used to have these growing up as a kid.
01:58She had Bleeding Hearts in the front yard.
01:59They're the coolest plants, man.
02:02The, I think it's the flower.
02:04They, they look just like this.
02:06Obviously not pixely, but their hearts with like little teardrops at the bottom of them,
02:12this little white part.
02:14I, I had forgotten Bleeding Hearts were a thing until I downloaded this Montreview.
02:19I'm like, oh, I remember those.
02:21Those were the coolest.
02:22I don't know, uh, I don't know where she got them from or anything about them.
02:29Ah, that's better.
02:29I just made it daytime real quick.
02:31Oh yes, look at the beautiful glow.
02:34It's probably not so beautiful.
02:35So let's check out some of these flowers real quick.
02:38Um, I don't know the, the real names to them, um, but I can give you at least what the mod
02:44name, or node name is.
02:46So here we have the pink yarrow.
02:49Um, yarrow sounds kind of familiar to me, but I don't know why.
02:52We have a marshmallow, um, they used to make marshmallows with something from marshmallow,
03:00but I don't remember what.
03:02Chamomile, uh, you can use that for tea.
03:05Uh, lavender, that does look like lavender, lavender cookies.
03:08I don't like them by the way, but, uh, lavender cookies are a thing.
03:12Pagonia, Pagonia Rose, not familiar.
03:17Forget Me Nots, yes.
03:19I don't know enough about Forget Me Nots, I don't know if that looks like a forget me
03:21or not.
03:22Siberian Chive, that actually, yes, chive is delicious.
03:25I do enjoy me some chive.
03:27African Marigold.
03:27I don't think we can eat these.
03:29No, no, we can't.
03:30Most of the flowers can be, I am in creative, by the way.
03:33Most of the flowers can be turned into dyes.
03:35African Marigolds.
03:37Black Eyed Susan.
03:38Yeah, that looks more or less like it should.
03:40Poppy.
03:41I don't, I thought poppies were more red.
03:43I don't know.
03:43I know you can make opium out of poppies.
03:45That's probably going to get this video demonetized, but that's fine, because I don't monetize
03:47these.
03:48Evening Primrose.
03:50Desert Phlox.
03:52Cold Desert Phlox.
03:53This, surprise, surprise, naturally spawns in in cold deserts.
03:58Indian Paintbrush.
04:00Motherflower, I'm not familiar with.
04:01The Bleeding Heart, as already seen.
04:04Some more Phlox, but these are not the cold desert variety.
04:07They're just the normal variety, I guess.
04:09Crocus.
04:11Mm-hmm.
04:12We have Bergamot.
04:14I don't know what that is.
04:15The Fireweed.
04:16Now, this is the only one that I noticed that has growth stages to it, and I don't, oh.
04:29There we go.
04:30So we have Fireweed.
04:32That's Fireweed 2.
04:33Fireweed 3.
04:34Wait, what's this one?
04:38This is Fireweed.
04:40Then we have Fireweed 3.
04:42Fireweed 3.
04:44Fireweed 2.
04:45So they're just, it must not be growth.
04:47It's just different, different versions of it.
04:52And now, this is the only one I found that when you place it in creative, it removes itself
04:59from inventory.
05:01You know, normally when you're in creative mode, you can break something and then place
05:04it infinite.
05:05This one, you can't.
05:07But I think that's just because it's placing one of multiple different styles.
05:12So, yeah, there's the Fiberweed.
05:14Foxglove.
05:15I thought Foxglove was, like, really poisonous.
05:17I could be wrong.
05:17Hibiscus Hyacinth, which this one actually looks kind of similar to the blue flower
05:26that's, no wait, that's not, that's another Hyacinth.
05:30I think it looks similar to the blue flower that's naturally in my test game.
05:35Although it is worth mentioning that this will work with my test game, Minecolonia, and
05:40Meesecraft, potentially others as well.
05:43But those are the listed supported games on the content database.
05:47We have some Larkspur here.
05:50What is this now?
05:52Dame's Rocket.
05:54I was going to say it almost looked like Queen Anne's Lace.
05:58Too small for Queen Anne's Lace, but that same kind of a style flower to it.
06:03Arctic Poppies.
06:04Yellow Flag.
06:05Wait, Yellow Flag.
06:07Yeah, Yellow Flag.
06:08And Yellow Bell.
06:09I didn't know these were called Yellow Bells.
06:13I thought they were, um, something else.
06:16Now, most of these, as previously alluded to, you can craft into dyes.
06:22Anyways, I am a little confused, uh, with the Fire Weed, because this one lists that you
06:30can get magenta or white dye out of it, which, as we all know, that's not really how the whole
06:38crafting system works.
06:39So, how can I get pink and white out of this?
06:42I don't know.
06:43So, we're going to find out really quickly.
06:46Yellow Bell gives me yellow.
06:48Okay.
06:50That's not what I wanted to click on.
06:52So, the recipes here.
06:54The Bleeding Heart says we get pink and we get white.
06:58So, we're going to grab some Bleeding Hearts.
07:02Just a couple of them, you know.
07:03Um, okay, and we get pink.
07:06There's not a leftover of white.
07:12Okay.
07:14I have a feeling these are probably just all being registered via some sort of loop.
07:22And because there is different groups to them.
07:24So, if I do, uh, recipes and we go to dye, and then we go to red dyes, we will find anything
07:33in red flower group produces red dye.
07:36But then if we go to white dye, we will see that anything in red flower, uh, sorry, anything
07:42in white flower group produces white.
07:44So, if we do group flower red.
07:51Okay.
07:52Okay.
07:53Glue, group red flower, is it maybe?
07:59Any white flower?
08:01Any?
08:04Well, let's try this.
08:06Group flower.
08:06That doesn't even show anything.
08:08Well, that's interesting.
08:12Oh, because I'm, maybe I'm looking wrong.
08:14Nothing shows a group flower.
08:19That's weird.
08:21Doesn't, doesn't just search groups?
08:26Hmm, maybe it doesn't.
08:27Well, anyways, my assumption here is that these flowers are in multiple groups.
08:35Therefore, it shows multiple different crafting outputs from the same input.
08:40Which, again, as we know, does not work.
08:44Um, but yeah, so they can be used to make different dyes.
08:49And, again, they do naturally spawn in, in the correct biomes for real world.
08:55So, we see here, we got a bunch of them in the, I think we're just in a grasslands area
09:01here.
09:02Um, where was that cold desert?
09:06There was a desert around here someplace.
09:07Maybe it was back this way.
09:10Yeah, here we go.
09:11Desert back this way.
09:13There should be some of the cold desert flocks.
09:16I think up on this mountain range.
09:20Oh, no, right over here.
09:22I think.
09:23Pretty sure.
09:24There must be some, yeah, there's some islands up there.
09:27I know I, well, that's not a cold desert.
09:29Well, I know I saw some in a cold desert here someplace.
09:33So, they are spawning in the, oh, maybe it's up ahead.
09:35They are spawning in as is expected.
09:38As is expected.
09:40Say that ten times fast.
09:42Wow.
09:42Oh, you know, it was probably right here.
09:44Yep, there we go.
09:44Look at the cold desert flocks on the cold desert.
09:49What a nice change of scenery from these dead shrubs.
09:53Again, this mod does support, or is available for however you want to phrase it, MindTest
10:01Game, and therefore any of MindTest Game's derivatives, Meesecraft, and MindColonia.
10:07If you are interested in adding it to your worlds, you can find it on the in-game content browser,
10:13or if you want to download and install it manually for whatever reason,
10:17I will have all of those links on my website, which will be linked in the video description below.
