00:05Republic Bank CPL match to the Jamaica Kingsmen by five wickets at Sabina Park.
00:10It now means that the defending champions have a win and a loss this
00:13season after the Kingsmen overhauled TKR's total of 182 in the 19th over.
00:19So where did it go wrong for captain Nicholas Puran and his team?
00:22It definitely set away there in the power play.
00:24This going 80-odd in the power play, a bit unacceptable and when we look at it obviously Kirk McKenzie
00:32played a really good innings there, he wasn't expecting that, but in saying that we have
00:37to be better in the power play.
00:39Puran and all-rounder Karen Pollard both top scored with 44, while Ousmane Tariq took three
00:44scalps and Sunil Narain proved to be frugal, but Puran says the others also have to contribute
00:50towards the team.
00:51Again, TKR is built on senior players taking responsibility and doing it for this team.
00:57Obviously this year it's have a lot of younger players who will be getting the opportunity
01:02and they have to take it as well.
01:04It's only so much that senior players can do, but in saying that again, really happy with
01:07the way the guys played and got that score, again a lot of positives from that.
01:12We felt like we can defend that score.
01:15Obviously the bowlers are not going to have it easy or have it their way every single
01:19time.
01:20But again, we took it down to the 18th over, which is fine after that start, so that's
01:24brilliant.
01:24A couple of things we need to talk about, chat and we'll come back and hopefully we can
01:28take those boxes and be better.
01:29It was Jamaica Kingsmen first win in their debut season after losses to Antigua and Barbuda
01:34Falcons, Barbuda Stridents and Guyana Amazon Warriors.
01:38As such, Kingsmen captain Robman Powell was an elated man.
