00:00Hi guys and welcome to DriveSpark, I'm Prameet and today we are going to talk about the BYD

00:05C-Lion.

00:06Now BYD has just launched the C-Lion, yes this is the same car that they showcased at

00:10the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 a month back and now they have just launched the car,

00:16there are two variants, one is the premium and the other one is the performance.

00:20So the price for the car for the premium variant is 48.9 lakh and for the performance is 54.9

00:27lakh rupees.

00:28These prices are ex-showroom and if you wish to book this car then the booking amount for

00:33this is around 70,000 rupees and in the past one month BYD has received over 1000 bookings

00:40for the C-Lion 7.

00:42Now as I mentioned there are two variants, the performance and the premium, however the

00:47performance comes with an all-wheel drive that is two motors driving each of the axles,

00:52the front and the rear and the premium one gets a rear-wheel drive that means that the

00:56motor is fitted to the rear axle.

00:59Now let us talk a little bit about the car, now as you can see that the front end gets

01:03typical LED headlights, it is in a traditional way and not inside the bumpers, however the

01:08DRLs they merge inside the bumper and if you see you get a 360 degree camera, you also

01:14get level 2 ADAS that has the radar right at the center of the nose and there is body

01:20cladding all over the car and you also get 20-inch alloy wheels with red color calipers

01:26that really accentuates the car's look.

01:28Now if you see the car from the side, it gets a sloping roofline and it gets a very aerodynamic

01:33design that obviously makes the car a very performance oriented car and at the back you

01:39get the BYD badge, you get the C-Lion 7 badge, also you get the EV all-wheel drive for the

01:44performance variant and you also get a 4.3 S, now that means that the performance variant

01:49can go from 0 to 100 in just 4.3 seconds and we will get back to the specifications in

01:54a bit.

01:56Now if you move to the interiors, you get sporty interiors that are all blacked out

01:59in the center of the dashboard, you get a 15.6-inch rotating screen that has horizontal

02:05and vertical view both, you also have a full digital cluster, apart from that you get 128

02:11color options for ambient light, then you also get a 12-speaker Dynaudio surround sound

02:17system that is really premium, you also get a 50-watt wireless charger along with a cooling

02:22pad because when you charge the phone, the phone heats up, so the cooling pad, actually

02:27there are AC vents, so it cools the phone while it is charging, keeping the temperature

02:31optimum.

02:32Now, if we talk about the battery pack of these two variants, now the premium one and

02:38the performance ones both get 82.56 kWh battery pack, however, as I mentioned that 0 to 100

02:45in the premium is 6.7 seconds, 0 to 100 in the performance, that's the all-wheel drive

02:50is 4.3 seconds, the total range that you get in the premium version that is the claimed

02:55range is 567 kilometers, however, in the performance variant, you get 542 kilometers, if you talk

03:02about power and torque, the premium one gets 308 bhp and 380 Nm of peak torque, however,

03:09the performance one gets 523 bhp and 690 Nm and obviously, the premium one is a single

03:17rear motor and the performance one is dual motor front and back and if we talk about

03:22the charging, then if you charge the BYD C-Line 7 with an 11 kW charger, then the car will

03:28take around 8.5 hours to charge and that is the claimed charging time from BYD.

03:33So, yeah guys, this was the BYD C-Line 7, let me just tell you the price once again,

03:38the price starts at 48.9 lakh and goes all the way up to the 54.9 lakh ex-showroom mark,
