Friday night marked the highly anticipated return of Machel Montano to the fete stage after more than a year. The Soca King delivered his first performance of the carnival season with his full band at Mega The Concert, held at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy. Dominic Ramroop and camerawoman Kerry Patrick were on hand to capture the moment

00:00After working hard all week, the crowd at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy thought they
00:19deserved a party and that's what they got at Marshall Montano's Mega.
00:24The crowd slowly got into a groove before Aaron St. Louis, better known as Voice, got
00:28them feeling the vibes with his 2025 offering H1GHR, amongst others.
00:58A short while after the Prince of Soka graced the stage, it was Montano's turn.
01:14Mega signified the return of the King of Soka to the FET scene after over a year and his
01:19performance did not disappoint, beginning his set with his 2025 hit, Party.
01:34And of course, The Monk's performance would not be complete without some of his hits from
01:38yesteryear which had the crowd going.

02:26Queen of Chutney Soka, Drupati Ramgunai, joined Marshall on stage to celebrate 25 years

03:14Lady Lava then returned to the stage to perform the trio's collaboration, Pepper Vine.
