00:00The House Kinta Committee kicked off its hearing earlier today with the House Appropriations

00:04Committee Acting Chair prodding the National Price Coordinating Council to issue a resolution

00:09declaring a state of food emergency to put a cap on rice prices and bring them down eventually.

00:15Then the House Committee on Suffrage and Electoral Reforms took on the issue

00:19of an unrealistic and oversurge of voter registration in the city of Golden Friendship.

00:25For its part, the House Speaker welcomed his Malaysian counterpart and entourage of lawmakers

00:30in their visit to the Batasang Pambansa to reinforce inter-parliamentary relations.

00:35Later on, the lower house as an institution issued a resolution hailing the visit of Malaysian

00:40lawmakers and their House Speaker as a huge step in consolidating Philippine-Malaysian relations.

00:47Also today, the House Speaker led a ceremony in the Batasang Pambansa and the new wing of

00:54the building dedicated and named after distinguished and former House Speaker Jose

00:58de Venecia who witnessed the event.
