00:00The declaration of the Department of Agriculture of the Food Security Emergency will continue tomorrow.

00:06In the Panayam na Radyo Pilipinas, Agriculture's Assistant Secretary Arnel De Mesa said

00:11his goal is to reduce the high price of rice in some places in the country.

00:16When the declaration becomes official, the National Food Authority or NFA will immediately issue rice stocks

00:23where it will be sold for 38 pesos per kilo.

00:26Aside from that, the government will continue to put rice for all in the Kadiwa Centers and elections.

00:33And because of the continuous reduction of rice in the international market,

00:37the maximum suggested retail price for imported rice will be released.

00:42According to the DA, they will continue to guard against rice traders

00:46who are selling rice at high prices.

00:50First of all, the NFA will release its stocks in places where it experienced an extraordinary increase in price.

01:01It will be sold by the NFA to our government agencies and local government units.

01:08And they will be the ones to dispose, through sale, of the rice of the NFA at 38 pesos per kilo.
