00:05the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service is at a place where they want to ensure
00:09that they can seek a level of trust and awareness to the public by having
00:14officers come out to display a show of force during this time of the SOE.
00:20We want to ensure that we seek to raise that level of trust and awareness that the police are here, they are on the job.
00:28So this is an initiative from the Forestry Division, and it's what we call a show of force.
00:35And on this show of force, we have the officers coming out, and what you're seeing is what we call a path you must lead.
00:41So we find senior officers, we are out here leading the charge with our officers, understanding that we are a team,
00:49and we are here to ensure law and order, that at least the citizens can see that the police are outside
00:55and they can feel safe in the city, knowing that the police is here and we will be here not just during the SOE, but even after the SOE.
01:05As the country continues to grapple with rising crime, the TTPS has emphasised their stern stance against lawbreakers,
01:12warning them that they will face a swift action as they continue to patrol not only in Porto, Spain,
01:18but the highways as well, especially with the carnival season approaching.
01:23Right now with the TTPS, we are on zero tolerance, and it is not just happening in the city, it is happening in every single division,
01:30and we will see more and more robust patrols, we will see where police officers, while we are out here,
01:36we are going to be dealing with minor crimes, we are going to be dealing with serious crimes, and therefore it is zero tolerance on a whole.
01:44We are instrumental in keeping the roadway safe, and even before the SOE and after the SOE,
01:50we are focusing on the hotspot areas on the highways, but also the fatal accidents, we know we have a lot of cannibal thefts coming up,
01:56so I want to take this opportunity to warn the drivers also, that a lot of testing will be taking place.
