00:15morning. Many of the detainees who were held over the last year are expected to be released
00:20if they have not been charged by tonight with any particular offense. Sources say during the day,
00:25many of the detainees who had not been charged were released and reunited with their families.
00:31However, TV6 News was unable to confirm exactly how many detainees were freed today.
00:36Just over 100 people were detained over the last year at different periods for murder, kidnapping,
00:41drug trafficking, gang-related offenses and other offenses. Just two people, as far as the record
00:47indicates, were released after being held on a detention order. One woman who had issued threats
00:52to Prime Minister Kamala Posadvi Sessa via social media, who had been detained on a detention
00:57order, was later released after pleading guilty and appearing before a magistrate. Well-known
01:02businessman Danny Guerra was released six weeks after being held on an official detention order
01:08signed by the Homeland Security Minister for alleged money laundering, drug trafficking,
01:13illegal quarrying and planning the assassination of a government minister.
