00:00The mother of Brandon Edwards is tonight calling for justice, following the murder of her son.
00:07Speaking to TV6 News in Argyle, near her home on Saturday, Ms. Edwards was surrounded by
00:13relatives and friends who hugged and tried to comfort the distraught lady.
00:18She told TV6 News a candlelight vigil against crime would be held soon in the community.
00:25According to reports, at around 10.03pm on Friday, the victim, Brandon Edwards, a 27-year-old
00:33sanitation worker of Lammy Road, Argyle, was near his home when several loud explosions
00:39were heard.
00:40He was later found unconscious in this grassy area, suffering from gunshot wounds.
00:46He had been shot from the back.
00:49The police were alerted to the scene and the District Medical Office of Health, Dr.
00:54John Taylor, visited the scene and ordered the body removed to the Scarborough Mortuary.
01:00The Homicide Bureau is spearheading investigations.
01:04So far, there is no word that the murder was gang-related.
