00:00The division has also just dropped off some furniture, so the vice principal is present and they're in the process
00:06of deciding where the furniture is going to go.
00:08But when I visited, I saw that there are benches that are supposed to have two students, presently they have
00:13three students and things like that.
00:15Tutor Tobago officer Dion Rajukas told TV6 News the Division of Education has been proactive in addressing concerns at various
00:23schools across Tobago.
00:25There was also a mold issue at St. Andrews.
00:29Over the weekend, I would have visited the school and I know that the school would have been deep cleaned
00:33because there was a mold issue, a continuous mold issue at St. Andrews Anlican School.
00:39But as I shared in the media space that that is a non-negotiable for the opening of school.
00:43So the division did come up to scratch and they cleaned the school, deep cleaned the school over the weekend.
00:49Mr. Rajukas said there was a fluctuation in the electrical supply at the Bishop's High School, but that matter was
00:57addressed.
00:57The Roxburgh Secondary School, he said, some sections are in need of a paint job.
01:03And that school in my visit needs an overhaul in terms of painting and so on.
01:09I know that the division promised and I'm holding them to that promise.
01:13They indicated that during the course of this term that things are going to be happening on afternoons, things are
01:18going to be happening on weekends.
01:20And we look forward to that because also at Roxburgh Secondary School, partition that are separating classes, we know that
01:27they are broken down.
01:28I would have shared the same with the administrator.
01:30And the decision is that during the course of this term, those things are going to be addressed.
01:36In addition, he said, teacher shortages affecting some institutions are being filled following interventions by the Division of Education.
