Presto, in collaboration with the Sally and Victor Mouttet Foundation and SuperCow Milk, has donated a free hydroponics garden to Montrose Government Primary School, which includes a one-year guarantee. Members of Parliament from Caroni East and Chaguanas East were all in attendance, at the launch of the school's new Hydrophonics programme.

00:05garden in collaboration with the Sally and Victor Mortad Foundation and Super Cow Milk.
00:11The hydroponics program uses a revolutionary technology to grow plants without soil while
00:16giving students a hands-on experience and a greater understanding of science, the environment
00:22and how to uniquely impact the world.
00:24A fourth standard pupil spoke on behalf of his classmates.
00:27I am grateful that my school has been selected for such a project and I look at this journey
00:33with a shallow mind for a great success.
00:36The curriculum encourages curiosity, creativity and an open mind while focusing on water conservation,
00:43renewable energy and the role of technology in the students' interactions with the environment.
00:49The support, sustainability and agriculture in our schools and in teaching our children
00:55the importance of this topic.
00:57The hydroponics program will help us in the long future to support agriculture in Canada today.
01:04This program celebrates plant growth without soil and emphasises originality and sustainability.
01:11The school hopes it will create healthy plants but it will also help students learn more
01:17about science, the environment and how they can make a positive influence in their daily lives.
