00:00West Indies will have just under a week to show what they've learned from the
00:03failed Sri Lanka tour when England comes calling. The West Indians lost both of
00:07the white ball series to Sri Lanka with spin being the major Achilles heel and
00:11coach Sammy while happy to end the tour with a win pointed out the areas where
00:16they fell short however I have to be honest you know the way we fielded and
00:22the way we bowled throughout the series has not been really up to up to the mark
00:28you know and we all know when we were challenged on spin friendly wickets our
00:35batsmen did not respond so all in all it's good to finish with an emphatic win
00:41headed into the England series but a lot of learning from this trip. The former
00:48captain was instrumental in convincing Evan Lewis to return to the West Indian
00:52fold and heaped praise on the Southpaw.
01:22and with the English in town next week Sammy is confident his players will be
01:40ready for the battle you know the last time it was wrong in the Caribbean we
01:45won both series you know we created history in our in our ODI series but
01:53again you know I don't know something about West Indians whenever it's time to
01:57play England they're always up for the challenge you know it's a big rivalry
02:01series and we at home and over the last year to 18 months we've done
02:09really well at home in white ball so get off the plane right back at it you
02:15know and hopefully we could give a better display than what we did here in
02:21Sri Lanka. Terence Clark TV6 Sport
