Tobago police are working round-the-clock to solve Tobago's latest gruesome find of the bodies of Sarah Smith, 34, and her two children, 18-month-old Phoneix Smith and 3-year-old Genuine Smith in a decommissioned WASA tank on Wednesday afternoon in Parlatuvier. 00:00This has rocked the community of Tobago, Trinidad and Tobago,
00:06and of course, the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service is really saddened by this situation.
00:17I can see at this point in time that our investigators are working assiduously towards
00:26bringing all together as to what is responsible for this gruesome
00:35death of these three persons. Assistant Commissioner of Police,
00:39Carlos Hazel, as he spoke with TV6 News, the ACP is appealing to the general public
00:46to take mental health seriously and be their brother's keeper.
00:51We do have some information of a mental scenario that has taken place and therefore,
00:59a strong appeal is going out to our very citizens of Tobago that we continue,
01:07we need to continue to love and care and we continue to look out for each one
01:15in situations like these. ACP Hazel is hopeful that there would
01:20be no repeat of Wednesday's shocking find in Politivaire.
01:24If you give a call, try to reach out to someone because people are suffering
01:31in many ways in silence and therefore, it is hope that, you know, a situation like this
01:40will not take place again in Tobago. ACP Hazel told TV6 News that no signs
01:47of foul play were observed on the bodies of Sarah Smith and her two children,
01:52but autopsies are to be performed to determine the cause of death.
01:57At this point in time, we were able to see no signs of foul play.
