Sixty-one year old Hyacinth Danclair was a loving mother and an avid gardener.

While she may not have been the most outgoing of persons, she was always friendly to her neighbours and always polite.

On Monday evening, she was found dead in the bedroom of her home on John Shaw Avenue in Arima.

Here's more on the story by Alexander Bruzual.

00:04police to believe she may have been suffocated.
00:07There was blood on the lower torso.
00:09And while some officers suspect she may have been sexually assaulted, investigators told
00:14TV6 that this needs to be confirmed via post-mortem, which is scheduled to take place on Wednesday.
00:20Relatives told police that at about 4.50pm on Monday, they went to Dan Claire's home
00:25to check on her as she had missed a doctor's appointment scheduled that day and had failed
00:29to answer any subsequent calls.
00:32When they arrived, the house appeared to be locked, however, her car was in the garage.

01:44care of.
