00:00Now we go to a classic golf course. We go to a really a polar opposite this week, Colonial
00:09Country Club, which has been around on tour since 1946. The longest running PGA tour event
00:17that's been held at the same course year after year is what has been called many different
00:23names over the years, but now the Charles Schwab Challenge, the golf course has remained
00:27the same. It's pretty long for a par 70 at almost 7,300 yards. But like I say, very different
00:34from Valhalla where you've got a lot of dog legs, narrow fairways, shorter hitters tend
00:41to flourish here. You know, it's more of a plotters golf course where you have to be
00:45very accurate, work the ball in both directions. You have to carry a hot putter on these very
00:51small greens. So, you know, where Valhalla was so big and you could just bomb it all
00:56over the yard. Colonial is much more claustrophobic where you've really got to look towards precision
01:03and accuracy this week. It's a classic test. I'm sure it'll be a fun one. We do have some
01:08good stars in the field this week, including Scottie Scheffler, but a very different style
01:13of golf that's going to likely come out on top this week.
01:17I've never seen any golfer a bigger favorite as Scheffler is this week. Am I wrong? I've
01:21never seen this. Plus 275.
01:23Yeah. I mean, you know, it's amazing if you look at the odds board, you've got Scottie
01:27there at less than three to one and then Morikawa at 12. And then it seems like all of a sudden
01:33everybody else is 50 to one. You know, I mean, there's just there's very few short shots
01:38and then everybody's 50, 60. Yeah. So, you know, I went with Morikawa. It occurred to
01:45me at the Masters when he contended and came up just short and he came out and said, you
01:50know what? I'm this close. I've really got to rededicate myself to getting over that
01:55hump and grinding and putting in the extra work to get this done again. And we saw it
02:02play out the following week at Harbortown when he recorded the top 10. We saw it play
02:06out here at the PGA Championship when he was in the lead going into the final round. He
02:11was tied with Schauffele. I think that continues here. I think Morikawa is really on the push
02:18here to to record another win. He's finished runner up at this tournament before. We know
02:24he's that precision accuracy type player. So he was my short shot. And then I went with
02:29the, you know, 50 some to one guys, Billy Horschel, who had a great PGA Championship.
02:35I got him at 55. Andrew Putnam, who played well at the PGA. Again, a great short game
02:41and accuracy based player. Got him at 55. And then Christian Bezadenhout and Denny McCarthy.
02:48I got at 50 to one. They're all similar type guys, you know, better built for a shorter
02:53track ball striker, short game emphasis type players. All right. Well, I can't wait. I
02:59know we got the U.S. Open coming up next month, too. So I'm sure that that will be a lot of
03:05Bet Schaeffler now for the U.S. Open. I think that's the perfect course for him. And the
03:10arrest is all going to be behind. I know. I know. I know. Plus 275. A golfer that big
03:17a favorite in a field. I just I can't remember. Maybe Tiger Woods was a favorite like that.
03:21Anyway, great stuff, as always, Brady. We'll catch up again next week. Thanks for coming
03:24on. Thanks, Craig.
