00:00Bill, is that what you're doing in retirement?
00:03Hang on, July 12th, I believe, 2025, you called it a career.
00:08And how's it going?
00:10Are you itching to get back into the ring?
00:12Or how's your retirement going?
00:15Man, when you're in the wrestling business, I don't think there's anything.
00:20There is no retirement until you're dead.
00:23So am I itching to get back in?
00:25No.
00:25Am I itching to continue to be out in the world and make a difference?
00:31Absolutely.
00:32So I've kind of turned my focus to veterans, kids, and the emasculation of modern man.
00:39So I got a couple things on my plate right now, is for sure.
00:44Absolutely.
00:45By the way, now wait, you got a couple things on the plate.
00:48I want to get this right.
00:49You were in Memphis for the World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest.
00:55So this is where, wait, you go, wait a minute, from being on the top row to doing a barbecue
01:04contest in Memphis.
01:05How's that transition been?
01:08Well, I am with a company called Patriot Tactical.
01:12And they are the lead sponsor of these events.
01:16The first one I attended was in Houston.
01:19And let's be perfectly honest, man, anybody who likes food likes wrestling.
01:22So, you know, it's kind of a family atmosphere, these cookouts.
01:28And I have a stake in Patriot Tactical.
01:31I'm the CEO.
01:31I'm the president.
01:33And, you know, it truly gives me, not only is it business oriented, but it truly gives me the opportunity
01:41to shake the hands of the people who put me in the position that I'm at.
01:43Because you can't get a more wholesome event than a food, than a barbecue contest, right?
01:49Talk about being with the veterans, how much that means to you, too, Bill.
01:52I mean, you know, obviously, professional football, professional wrestling, the military.
01:58You know, that's something that we have great respect for.
02:00I know that I have massive respect for the military.
02:04How's that been for you so far?
02:06You know, getting a chance to see those guys, too, and shake hands and touch palms with those dudes.
02:11Well, you and I, yes, we have respect.
02:14But, unfortunately, these days, first responders are not at the top of the list of receiving respect from the public.
02:21And that shit needs to change, period, end of story.
02:24Because you couldn't do your podcast.
02:26You couldn't play football.
02:27I couldn't throw dudes around the ring.
02:29And I sure as hell, you know, couldn't do anything else if these people who don't know who we are
02:35put their lives on the line every single day so that we can live, you know, a normal life.
02:41So, to me, there is no better time spent than thanking the people who protect your freedom, especially with, you
02:47know, 250 coming up.
02:48You know, it's a very, very tense time we have, whether it's, you know, dealing with the war, whether it's
02:56dealing on the home front.
02:57And, you know, it's a sorry state that we're in, man, I think.
03:03So, I'm going to try to do something about it.
