00:00Okay, so our friend LaFra James is back in the news again.
00:03And, you know, listen, I want to be very candid about how I look at LeBron James.
00:11Tremendous basketball player.
00:13One of the greatest of all time.
00:15One of the top five guys that will ever, ever be in a conversation when you're naming a guy who
00:22you believe will be the best.
00:23My guy, obviously, I'm a Jordan dude.
00:26He's probably generational.
00:27You could even say Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
00:30But I want to show you why LaFra James is so petty.
00:34So there was a story in ESPN that came out in March.
00:40And it was tensions building between the Lakers and LaFra James, Maverick Carter, and his group.
00:49Now, look, you can be petty again at times.
00:53You could be a guy who's going to be a little bit, you know, of a guy that's going to
00:59worry about his legacy.
01:01So there was a game ball that was going to be given out.
01:06And it was a night where LeBron James, I want to get this right here.
01:11He passed Jabbar for the most combined wins of any player in NBA history.
01:18So on this March 31st, they defeated the Cavaliers here.
01:23And LeBron feels the Lakers took him for granted because Rob Palenka gave the game ball to J.J. Reddick
01:33instead.
01:34Now, that would be the equivalent of Tom Brady wanting a game ball after he beat the New York Jets.
01:42Now, look, I get it.
01:45The accolades that LeBron is building is second to none.
01:49He's the greatest longevity player.
01:51I'll give him this.
01:52In NBA history, nobody has performed at an age like this and put up the numbers that LeBron has put
01:59up.
02:00His longevity streak will go down in history, along with Brady and what Brady did in the National Football League,
02:07excelling at such an age.
02:09No question.
02:09However, dude, the conversation is over.
02:14You will never be in the conversation of the greatest player of all time.
02:19That is all radiant cement.
02:22It's Michael Jordan.
02:24And not only that, even Jordan hates the conversation of the GOAT.
02:29Nobody on the planet talks about being the best player on the planet except for LeBron James.
02:37Tom Brady doesn't even talk about the great accolades in his career.
02:43He talks about his team.
02:44He talks about the wins.
02:46He talks more about the losses.
02:49See, the NBA player does not get the same scrutiny that the NFL player gets.
02:55NFL player is covered harder than what the NBA guys are because you know why?
03:00There's so few superstars in that sport that they want to make sure they have access to those sports, to
03:07those superstars.
03:08So they're not going to piss him off.
03:10Well, and that's why they run that league.
03:13The NFL guy is covered way harder.
03:17Can you imagine Wayne Gretzky bitching over not getting a game puck?
03:23This guy is so petty.
03:25Dude, the conversation isn't between you and Jabbar or Jordan.
03:30The conversation is between whether or not you're even better than Kobe.
03:34In a 48-minute basketball game, you give me Mamba and I'll win that basketball game.
03:42I'll take Kobe Bryant over that dude.
03:45It's funny, the longer he stays in the sport and the more accolades and the more points he keeps piling
03:54up, the lesser I think of him.
03:57I think LeFron has done a great job with marketing.
04:01I told people this all the time.
04:03If you had a college class that you were going to teach on how to build a brand, LeBron James
04:09is your guy.
04:10That's how you build a brand.
04:12A guy who couldn't even with his mom, single mom, pay rent.
04:16They couldn't pay for groceries.
04:18And you look at him today, this guy's a billionaire.
04:21Never really hurt his brand.
04:23And on top of that, has never been arrested or done anything to hurt his image on how people look
04:29at him.
04:30But how people see him, he's not genuine.
04:34LeFron James will go down as one of the pettiest guys of all time.
04:39He feels disrespected because he didn't get a game ball.
04:44Dude, you're the all-time leading scorer in the NBA and you don't act like it.
04:50You won four NBA championships and you don't act like it.
04:55You know, you want to be considered the greatest player, but you don't act like it.
04:59You act like the most pettiest player of all time.
05:04Dude, when you're the king, you don't go around telling people you're the king.
05:08They know you're the king.
05:10When you're the best at what you do, you don't go around telling people,
05:15hey, did you like this?
05:16Did you like what I did today?
05:18What did you make of my game?
05:20Dude, you know that already.
05:22That's the confidence you have in yourself.
05:26LeFron James needs others patting him on the back,
05:29telling him how great he is for his confidence or lack thereof.
05:33Man, talk about petty.
05:36LeFron never ceases to amaze, and he never ceases to keep giving.
