00:08Because they've been playing some really good ball since he's been put in there as the manager.

00:15I know his kid works in the front office as well there with Dave Dombrowski.
00:20Does Don Mattingly maybe reconsider it, especially if they get to the postseason?
00:25Well, I think, you know, wait till the end of the season, see how far they go.
00:29If they get to the World Series, if they win the World Series,
00:32then does Mattingly want to go out on top, particularly since he's never won a ring?
00:36I would think he might want to do that, saying what a perfect way to step away.
00:40So we'll see.
00:41And the schedule has been very favorable to the Phillies, too.
00:46They stink against left-handed starters, and I think they've only faced a couple now
00:50since Mattingly's taken over.
00:52And the schedule was much, much weaker since he took over than it was with Rob Thompson.
00:58You know, the last 10, 15 games.
01:00So that's where they won all five series.
01:03But, yeah, we'll have a better test, I think, in the Phillies, you know,
01:07in the next month when the schedule starts to get tougher again.
01:11If I had to ask you here in 30 seconds here, Don Mattingly or Thurman Munson,
01:19Hall of Famer, who would you take?
01:22It would be Mattingly.
01:24Just a, you know, Munson's career, unfortunately, was short.
01:27Just barely 10 years.
01:28It would be Mattingly.
01:29But then you look at, you know, I had lunch a couple weeks ago with Keith Hernandez.
01:34Look at, you know, look at his numbers compared to Mattingly.
01:37You know, they're right there.
01:38Then you start saying, well, should Hernandez be in there?
01:41I know he's got a higher war with the 11 goal gloves.
01:44But between those two, I'd go Magley over Munson.

01:49Keith Hernandez also, if I'm not mistaken,
01:52he shared an MVP award with Willie Stargell back in the day, too.
01:56So he's a guy that's got an MVP award.
02:00Don Mattingly, I'd like to see him in the Hall of Fame one day.
