00:00All right, Jay, I'm one of those stupid Knicks fans from way back.
00:04Red Holtzman, 73, we're all barking that stuff.
00:07I mean, is it possible this Knicks team could get to the finals and win it?
00:13I mean, can they win it with this group of guys?
00:17Yes, and I think especially, you know, the Western Conference gets a lot of attention
00:23because there were so many outstanding teams in the West,
00:26but the truth is only one team's coming out of there.
00:28Now, I happen to think it was going to be Oklahoma City.
00:33We'll see what San Antonio has to say about that
00:36because San Antonio is an incredibly difficult matchup for any team,
00:39but they've proven a difficult matchup because of Wembenyama for Oklahoma City.
00:44But the Eastern Conference champion,
00:46they only have to beat one Western Conference champion team.
00:50You know, the winner of that's going to take care of everybody else.
00:54And last year, Oklahoma City got taken to seven games.
00:59By Indiana and Tyrese Halliburton got hurt in game seven.
01:03So who knows what would have happened?
01:05So absolutely, they can win.
01:07And especially at the level they're playing.
01:10I mean, what, the last seven games are beating teams by an average of like 23, 24 points a game.
01:15It's been historic.
01:16You just hope for their sake that having all this time off doesn't take away some of their edge.
01:22But they're playing great, and I don't put it past them to be able to win this thing.
01:27They can do it.
01:28You know what, Jay?
01:30I don't think there's any coincidence we look at San Antonio and Oklahoma City.
01:33You see Sam Presti, who built that team there in Oklahoma City.
01:37He's a product of what you had in San Antonio with RC.
01:40I mean, this just shows you how great run organizations are, right?
01:45Player development, finding the right coach.
01:48It's incredible.
01:4830 seconds here.
01:49I mean, not a surprise OKC and San Antonio are in the Western Conference Finals.
01:56They've been patient, and they've had a plan, and they've stuck to it.
02:00And they're not changing their front office personnel and their coaching personnel on a whim.
02:06And I'm not saying everybody's doing it on a whim.
02:08But you do see a lot of firings and change, and we've got to get somebody to get us to
02:14the next level.
02:15And they've stuck with it, both those franchises.
02:18And I agree.
02:19I don't think it's any surprise that they're where they are.
02:24And Oklahoma City and San Antonio are not going anywhere.
02:27They're going to be competing for championships for quite a while now.
