The funeral for four year old Amarah Lallitte was held earlier today at the Faith Assembly Church in Five Rivers Arouca. Lallitte's life was brutally taken by a relative in the early hours of April 9th sending waves of shock and horror through Trinidad and Tobago.

00:16 The church was packed with mourners, ranging from family members, friends and concerned citizens,
00:24 as the tragic events of April 9th seemed fresh as Amara's little body lay in a coffin at the front of the church.
00:33 Her mother, Trisha Villaruel, was accompanied by other family members as she delivered the eulogy.

01:04 Her father, Shanaan Lalit, paid his tribute to little Amara by reciting this poem which he wrote.

02:01 Her paternal grandmother said that she is still in disbelief about the manner in which the little one's life was taken.
02:09 I feel a sense of emptiness at this time. Amara brought joy into our hearts the moment she was born.
02:20 I will remember her as a very loving child who always had a bubbly smile on her face.
02:33 Following the funeral service, the little body of baby Amara was taken to the Crown Street Public Cemetery in Tunapuna, where she was laid to rest.
