00:00 Welcome to Mojo Plays and today we're counting down our picks for the 20 weirdest unlockables
00:13 in Assassin's Creed games.
00:16 For this list, we'll be looking at some of the weirder stuff we encountered on our
00:28 Assassin journeys.
00:30 What's the craziest thing you've ever found in an AC game?
00:33 Let us know in the comments.
00:35 Before we begin, we publish new content all week long, so be sure to subscribe and ring
00:40 the bell to get notified about our latest videos.
00:44 Boat Cat - Assassin's Creed Valhalla
00:55 When you first boarded your longship in AC Valhalla, did you notice something missing?
01:01 A fluffy white cat in the bow, right?
01:03 Well, a quest called Freya's Friend will solve that quickly.
01:08 This mission requires you put your life in the balance by chasing a runaway cat named
01:12 Nolly.
01:13 Nolly was once a ship's cat whose owner crossed the Rainbow Bridge.
01:18 Ever since then, no one has been able to pet the bereaved feline.
01:29 But hey, Nolly jumps into Eivor's arms, snuggles up, and is then recruited for your
01:35 ship.
01:36 You now have a longship cat.
01:39 It doesn't do anything but sit in the bow and sometimes take naps, but it's adorable
01:44 so why not?
01:51 The Isu Armor - Assassin's Creed Origins
02:04 Sometimes you just want your ancient Egyptian protagonist to look like a cyborg.
02:09 It's a lot of grinding, but you can have your own Bayek bot at last.
02:15 When you enter the secret passage located in the sink's butt, you come upon a puzzle
02:20 room containing a miniature map of Egypt.
02:23 It's not a push the right buttons or light the fires in order kind of puzzle.
02:27 It's a feat that can only be achieved by completing all 12 stone circles and collecting 50 silica
02:34 from caves around the map.
02:40 This takes a while of course, but upon completion you too can look like the love child of Ninja
02:45 Turtles foe Shredder and Tali from Mass Effect.
02:49 The first civilization sure loved glowing stuff.
03:03 Thunderbolt and Lightning - Assassin's Creed III
03:14 Assassin's Creed cheats aren't really cheats.
03:18 They're unlockable effects or gameplay changes that are helpful or completely useless.
03:24 This one falls into the latter category.
03:27 We won't get into how to unlock this as it's kind of long winded.
03:31 You have to be playing online, collecting pivots, blah blah blah.
03:36 With the collection of 10 pivots, you can unlock a number of different cheats such as
03:40 infinite ammo.
03:41 But why bother with that when you can have Thunder Kill.
03:52 Every time Connor takes down an enemy, it's accompanied by a thunder strike and lightning
03:57 flash.
03:58 That's it.
03:59 Worth all the grinding?
04:00 Probably not.
04:08 The Auditory Cape - Assassin's Creed II
04:17 Assassin's Creed II tells a tragic story in which Ezio's father and two brothers are
04:22 executed after being framed for treason.
04:25 One of his brothers, Petruchio, was only 13 years old.
04:30 His mother Maria is inconsolably bereaved, spending nearly the entire game praying over
04:36 her bed.
04:37 In memory of his younger brother, Ezio collects feathers throughout Italy and deposits them
04:42 in an adorned box in his mother's room.
04:47 There are 100 feathers scattered throughout the maps, so collecting them all should be
04:52 worth it, right?
04:53 Well, if you catch them all, you get the Auditory Cape.
04:58 Clearing the cape makes Ezio perpetually notorious.
05:03 What a fine way to honor young Petruchio, who clearly just loved being constantly chased
05:08 by guards.
05:10 Rest in peace, little fugitive.
05:19 Scantily Clad - Assassin's Creed Origins
05:30 It gets hot in the desert, so Bayek presumably sometimes just wants to take off all of his
05:36 clothes.
05:37 But since sitting on a camel in the buff isn't so comfortable, he'll at least need a towel.
05:43 Following the assassination of Eudoras in the bathhouse, Bayek steals the towels.
05:48 Not cool, Bayek.
05:49 Not cool.
05:50 This grants you the opportunity to ride around Egypt wearing nothing but a towel around your
05:55 waist.
05:56 And one draped over your head should you want to avoid getting a nasty scalp sunburn.
06:05 It's surprisingly a little more coverage than Odyssey's bare-chested and oiled outfit, though,
06:11 and considerably less shiny.
06:19 The Wacky Items Pen - Assassin's Creed Origins
06:33 Some of these features are clearly the works of exhausted programmers.
06:36 Aren't microtransactions fun?
06:39 The AC Origins Wacky Items Pack is available for 1000 Helix Credits, or you can cross your
06:45 fingers and hope you get an item or two at random from Rita the Teleporting Salesman.
06:50 The pack consists of a cotton swab scepter for cleaning out Horus's giant ears, a LOL
07:03 cat-heavy blunt weapon in the shape of a mummified cat, the Swordfish Sword, an ornate cupid's
07:09 bow, and a Unicamel mount.
07:12 If you like nonsense, it's fine.
07:15 Perhaps Bayek can wield the cotton swab while in the bathhouse towel?
07:19 A hygiene pack?
07:27 The Fabulous Mount - Assassin's Creed Odyssey
07:36 Sometimes you just need a bit of flair.
07:39 Well, AC Odyssey's got your back.
07:42 If you shop around enough and purchase enough mount skins, the wonderful epic rainbow unicorn
07:48 skin will become available for purchase.
07:51 No weird quest or anything, just a bit of grinding will get you there.
08:02 It'll set you back 6400 drachmae.
08:04 But is it worth it?
08:06 Hell yeah.
08:07 The unicorn mount isn't just gorgeous, it also leaves a sparkling rainbow trail behind
08:12 it that says "I came, I saw, I was fabulous!"
08:17 If white isn't your shade of choice, there's also a black one, but it'll set you back 500
08:22 Helix credits in the store.
08:33 Perpetually Drunk - Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag
08:45 You know those dizzying scenes in AC games where you're drunk?
08:48 Do you sometimes wish the entire game was like that?
08:52 No?
08:53 Neither do we.
08:54 But you can have it.
08:56 In AC Black Flag, Edward is a pirate, so he likes his rum as much as the next pirate.
09:02 However, he's not a rampant, relentless alcoholic.
09:06 But what if he was?
09:07 The Abstergo challenges in the game are accumulated
09:19 throughout, with unlockables of 10, 20, 30, and so on until 100.
09:26 At the midway point, after 50 challenges, you unlock the cheat "Loaded to the Gunwhale",
09:32 which makes Edward perpetually drunk.
09:35 So if you've ever wanted to play an AC game with vertigo and cataracts, here's your chance.
09:45 Distinguished Animals - Assassin's Creed Syndicate
09:55 In AC Syndicate, there are a series of optional crime-solving missions titled "Dreadful Crimes".
10:01 If you're a sleuth type, these are fun, and much more like the murder mysteries in AC
10:07 Unity.
10:08 Here's the odd part.
10:09 A keen eye will spot the quick appearances of animals wearing top hats in each of these
10:14 missions, including a cat and goat, before they vanish in a puff of smoke.
10:20 After all Dreadful Crime missions are completed, during the "Murder at the Palace" mission,
10:25 a top hat can be found on the roof of Whitechapel Station, where the correct button combination
10:30 will make all the animals appear at once to declare "We are watching you".
10:35 Oh, you want a reward?
10:37 Nope, just creepy animals and hats.
10:40 Raving Rabbids - Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag
10:49 In 2006, Ubisoft began the Raving Rabbids series, which features creepy little rabbit
10:54 creatures who likely inspired the minions.
10:58 In a shameless bit of crossover, the creatures make a bizarre appearance in AC Black Flag.
11:03 Remember those Abstergo Challenge cheats we mentioned earlier?
11:07 After 80 challenges, the cheat title "Shiver Me Timbers" unlocks.
11:12 This turns all game enemies into Rabbids.
11:16 It's unsettling at best.
11:24 They don't quite fit in, and they weirdly hop around on sticks.
11:29 Now if they'd turned all the enemies into sharks and eels, we could at least get our
11:33 revenge.
11:35 This is just something no one ever wanted.
11:45 Desmond in the Past - Assassin's Creed Brotherhood and Assassin's Creed Revelations
11:50 Desmond Miles, hero of the 21st century, can be loaded back into the 1500s during the events
12:04 of Brotherhood.
12:05 Unlocked by achieving 100% synchronization in Sequence 8, it's no simple task.
12:11 But using Desmond's unique free-running and fighting style against Middle Ages goons is
12:17 a pretty fun option.
12:25 That might not seem too weird at first, until you hit cutscenes where Ezio is making moves
12:31 on Desmond's potential ancestors.
12:34 In Desmond's body.
12:36 Basically, it's like those uncomfortable scenes in Back to the Future with Marty and
12:40 his mom.
12:48 Ubisoft Tattoo - Assassin's Creed Valhalla
12:59 So you're playing your own custom Viking this time around.
13:03 Slap on whatever blade or armor suits your fancy and get to questing.
13:07 Or make Eivor a little more personalized with whatever skin ink you could possibly dream
13:13 of.
13:14 We're talking wolves, runes, handprints, this one that makes you look like you like raw
13:18 meat, and the strangest of all, Ubisoft's own corporate logo.
13:29 And not one, not three, but four alternate forms.
13:34 Which begs the question, who would want to deck themselves out as an esports-esque sponsored
13:39 raider?
13:40 Especially when certain actions we take as a player are slightly questionable from a
13:46 morality standpoint.
13:48 But that's another conversation for another day.
13:54 Cake Boss - Assassin's Creed Unity
14:03 We don't know how to tell you this, but if you played all the way through AC Unity
14:08 thinking you fought every boss, think again.
14:11 An additional fight can be unlocked once you've found and eaten all five pink cakes scattered
14:17 throughout Paris, each of which Arno miraculously scarfs down in one bite.
14:23 Once you've interacted with the final massive cake in Luxembourg Palace, there's one final
14:28 weird cherry on top of this already bizarre goose chase.
14:33 The statue on top of the dessert suddenly comes to life, and makes his own leap of faith
14:39 in an attempt to skewer you with his sword.
14:48 The one-on-one with Sir Cakeington isn't exactly hard, but he does deal huge damage on any landed
14:55 hit.
14:56 Once he falls, fireworks will light up the skybox and leave you sitting back in your
15:00 chair contemplating why.
15:12 Skeleton Crew - Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag
15:26 Viewers beware, you're in for a scare.
15:30 What does roughly 20 hours of sidequesting and 100 additional Abstergo challenges get
15:35 you?
15:36 Only the best optional mode introduced in any pirate game thus far?
15:40 Yes, we're talking about the gaggle of living skeletons running your pirate ship.
15:50 They don't lose any personality from their flesh and blood counterparts, meaning after
15:55 a successful plunder, you'll see them hyping each other up, sharing in a bear hug, or just
16:01 pushing each other around.
16:03 Really the weirdest part about this is they are still determined to sing shanties despite
16:08 not having lungs, and that you cannot be a skeleton yourself.
16:18 Ride the Unicorn - Assassin's Creed Brotherhood Back to Rome, it may surprise you to learn
16:29 that completing only the very first sequence with 100% sync enables Ezio to alter every
16:35 equestrian mount in the game.
16:38 Yep, horses are now unicorns for the general population of Europe, and everyone is just
16:44 kinda fine with it.
16:45 This was long before the bonkers rideable options of Valhalla, mind you.
16:56 We guess that just proves Assassins get all the coolest pets, but not only that, as the
17:02 bond between Unicorn and Ezio is so powerful that it blesses a glow effect upon all of
17:08 his weapons.
17:14 Big Mouth - Assassin's Creed Rogue
17:21 Likely the most hilarious unlockable mode on this list, rivaling that of the jolly singing
17:27 skeletons.
17:29 After side questing for a decent 45 extra Abstergo challenges, the supple voice of Shay
17:34 Cormac will be forced to deliver horrendous one-liners to everyone's dismay.
17:40 Similar to Black Flag's pirate-speak cheat, except far more out of character, charming,
17:46 and ridiculous.
17:48 No longer can you just climb something tall or get into combat without the rogue making
17:52 some early Spider-Man level quip to himself.
18:00 We've seldom encountered a mode that so effortlessly makes us both chuckle and groan in pain in
18:06 rapid succession.
18:07 You have to experience it for yourself if you have the chance.
18:17 Swordfish - Assassin's Creed Valhalla
18:25 It's an actual fish... sword.
18:28 Next entry.
18:29 Alright, wait, we need to elaborate just a touch more.
18:32 The weaponized seafood is probably the silliest item in the game so far, but it comes at the
18:38 cost of your time.
18:40 Only obtainable after completing every fishing mission from your settlement's fishing hut,
18:45 just finding the right areas across several of the game's country maps is no joke.
18:50 All that said, its stats are really good.
19:02 And we can't pass up a two-handed greatsword in the form of a fish that sets enemies on
19:07 fire for some reason.
19:10 No godly idea why, they refuse to elaborate.
19:14 Cutting dudes' heads off just hits a little different when you're using a living animal
19:18 as a blade.
19:24 The Raiden Skin - Assassin's Creed Brotherhood
19:34 The first and only a few silly crossovers is this cybernetic ninja suit that hails from
19:39 the Metal Gear series.
19:41 This fit changes the physical shape of Ezio's body, leaving only his head from its original
19:46 model.
19:47 The strangeness in the details continues with invisible hidden blades, a lack of sheaths
19:52 causing all your weapons to float, and a holstered pistol that cannot be equipped.
20:04 Somehow this is not a slapped-together fan mod, but a legitimate unlockable for completing
20:10 100% of the tutorial mode.
20:12 Hey, at least it looks good in motion, but we can't get over Cyberbeard.
20:23 The Kwe - Assassin's Creed Origins
20:30 Is anyone else seeing this?
20:32 said the entire playbase of Origins when the crossover quest "A Gift from the Gods" was
20:37 added post-launch.
20:38 As part of an event with Final Fantasy XV, the game's villain Ardyn invades your world,
20:45 drops a bunch of junk, and leaves, refusing to elaborate.
20:55 We can't even explain the whiplash this one cutscene causes, as Bayek watches magical
21:01 swords rain from the sky and suck some dude into heaven.
21:05 The strangest artifact left behind from his chair in the Animus is the Kwe, a rideable
21:10 mount based on the Chocobo, but we guess even the devs thought it would be too silly, so
21:15 it's some sort of half-camel, half-bird thing, which might arguably be worse.
21:26 Turkey Creed - Assassin's Creed III
21:35 So we've seen the silly, we've seen the bizarre.
21:38 How do we top this, and bring it all home?
21:41 Feeding a turkey through the American Revolution with a secret code gives it a little Assassin
21:46 hood.
21:47 Once again, walking up to a seemingly ordinary turkey and pressing the inputs for the famous
21:53 Koonami Code, which once gave the player extra lives, will in fact unlock the knowledge of
21:59 a secret of Turkey Creed.
22:06 What more needs to be said about this?
22:08 What would you say about this?
22:10 What is this?
22:11 He doesn't even have eagle vision, he's got turkey vision, or whatever.
22:20 Thanks for watching.
22:21 If you enjoyed the video, there's more where that came from.
