Fawlty Towers, despite only having twelve episodes, is a truly great show showing the great comedy stylings of John Cleese as the great Basil Fawlty himself!
Fawlty Towers was written by John Cleese and Connie Booth (who played Polly). This series is hilarious with great verbal ("I can speak English! I learn it from a book!") and physical (Basil's Nazi march in The Germans) comedy.
Aside from Basil, there was his wife Sybil (played by Prunella Scales) who hated Basil so much you wondered why they stayed together, Polly, the waitress, who at times, was the only sane man in Basil's crackpot schemes and Manuel (played by Andrew Sachs) the Barcelona waiter, who's troubles with the English language caused many a kerfuffle.
This show is an absolute classic. 10/10.
