00:00hi everybody welcome to a new season of on cinema at the cinema i'm your host new heidecker this is
00:17a news movie news program where we talked about new movies and give you guys an update on what
00:24you should see what you should skip uh we are here at the the high network esa campus still we're still
00:31in a transition period uh and i am joined by um movie host or i should say movie expert expert
00:39from the vsa and uh movie buff uh greg turkington is with us hey guys one thing you didn't mention
00:46is reviews also in addition to movie news i'm saying greg turkington from the vsa is with us
00:53here to talk about movies and the new movies and review the movies which is the one thing you
00:56didn't mention in your intro but uh we have a lot of movies to review today we're going to get right
01:02into it uh with the movie well i want to give a little update on where things are standing right
01:06now we wanted to be in a bigger space and a more professional studio here but uh and i was on
01:12pretty big and pretty professional are you going to interrupt me at every turn there's nothing wrong
01:15with the studio are you going to interrupt me at every turn no i might install a hand raise policy
01:22with you at this point well okay so i'm going to raise my act like an adult act like an adult
01:29expertise act like an adult you're on television and people look to you for expertise but you're
01:34acting like a child the way you're talking right after our summer roundup about a couple weeks later
01:40over the july 4th weekend i suffered a massive uh illness um came out of nowhere woke up in the
01:47middle of the night and from that period but for about two weeks i could not get myself out of bed
01:52uh high fever i was not able to keep anything down food wise stuff was coming out of me from every
02:00end um i was very sick very close to the end knocking on heaven's door in a lot of ways and
02:08could not determine what was going on and one of these nights i couldn't sleep i was tossing and
02:14turning sweating and the odor from me and you you had to stay out of the the room for that period
02:20because the odor coming from me was so intense i couldn't even stand it my odor was making me sick
02:26and it was sort of this cyclical sickness that was i was making myself sick um pain it felt like a
02:34thousand knives were stabbing me in every single one of my pores i couldn't even be touched you know
02:40would be touching you i'd be i couldn't do my self-massage but i was looking through my emails
02:49trying to catch up and trying to get this show back on track and i happened to i never do it i
02:54went into my junk mail and my spam filter and it's kind of a neat life lesson is if you do have a spam
03:01filter is every once in a while jump in there and check out see what's in there because it's sort
03:06like mining for gold there's a lot of junk in there it's all scams shut up it's a lot of
03:11interesting stuff that you can find in your spam it's sometimes they're almost too conservative with
03:19what they're filtering out i think but i happened to find an email from this company that i used to
03:25uh have some association with called reogenesis and reogenesis which i thought had gone out of
03:33business um had gone out of business and had been bought and rebranded relaunched under the
03:41leadership of uh a gentleman from china named dr jian wang who's a like john wang no jian jian wang
03:52and um sounds like john wang does sound like john wang um the searchers
04:02there's been so much new data and research done by dr jian wang that we now i'm feeling confident
04:12and the thing that they've brought into the mix which is really exciting is this uh they have a
04:17way to determine the age of your organs so we all have our age or biological your birth certificate
04:23that's the age right well you have your age your your uh the year you were born the day you were
04:29born but your organs uh your interior organs at least develop at a very different rate and i think so
04:36depending on your environmental uh the influence that the environment has on you or what you do to
04:42your body uh how you behave your organs are going to age at a different rate so what they did reogenesis
04:50has they provide you this at-home organ dating kit and what so i ordered this thing i'm telling you i
04:56could barely get out of bed but i was able to order this and it came right here to the esa and we
05:02are given you know a little survey to do and you're offered the opportunity to uh submit they go they
05:10could say you can get through up to three liquids from your body so that can do the testing so
05:14you can donate blood semen uh urine but you do have to do a stool sample so there's a stool sample
05:20and then your choice of uh liquids so i did uh urine and blood and stool of course as much as you can get
05:28in here sent this away and in 48 hours i get this which
05:35was my at horner uh my findings report right here which was a ton of data for me to go through
05:46and they looked at every single one of my organs and determined that my organs turned out to be
05:53they said they have an average or a total age average age of uh 85 years old now i'm 50 years old
06:00so that's whatever the numbers are whatever the math is there it's significantly older than my actual
06:05birth age okay and i mean that was a big shock for me but it explained a lot of why of how sick i was
06:13okay and dr jang uh dr jang wang recommended immediately he actually sent me a personal email
06:21recommended warp 10 which is you would see that
06:25like star trek the motion picture and that's um warp 10 internal de-aging system and this
06:34i take i've been taking two of these every morning you can see i don't know if you can see those but
06:40right away this stuff started to work my hair fell out like all of it fell out within a week
06:46um and my sickness like went from bad to worse offered to loan you a hat you don't have to wear a wig
06:53you can wear a hat all my organs were like under attack uh or the toxins in my organs were fully
07:00under attack so i know warp 10 is doing the trick and i want to thank everybody at rio genesis for
07:06you know what's cool this is a 16th season of the show which reminds me of 16 candles we should have
07:13uh got a cake with 16 candles as sort of a tribute to what we're doing but also tribute to the great
07:18movie from john hughes needless to say i'm out of bed fever's down and the hair is gone but we're
07:28you know we're growing back and it is growing back so we're excited about that and let's talk
07:34let's talk movies movies we've got actually two movies to review this week all right let's get into
07:39the stranglers chapter two the stranglers directed by renny harlan renny harlan starring gabrielle basso
07:48richard break and madeline madeline petch so on the final day of their cross country road trip a
07:57couple's vehicle breaks down forcing them to take refuge in a remote airbnb airbnb as night falls three
08:06masked strangers oh strangers okay so this is the strangers chapter two right terrorize them until
08:15dawn stranglers strangers what'd you think of strangers uh strangers chapter two very cool movie
08:20i love the original but the strangers the original was called strangers and this is also called
08:27strangers um i love it it's kind of an updating of the old hitchcock classic psycho where you have
08:35the hotel from hell right uh but they've updated because this is the airbnb from hell so i kind of
08:41like that twist to it um i'd love to see a lot more of the old hitchcock movies come back in one form or
08:46another maybe uh updated for some of the technology we have today so i'm gonna give it five bags of
08:52popcorn and i'm gonna throw in uh like a little knife like you had in the original psycho movie but not
08:58a not actually sharp it's more of like a keepsake knife i like this in your rating five bags of popcorn and
09:05a keepsake knife okay and just uh which i just said right
09:11okay well this is another classic uh from ren renny harlan uh one of the great directors right now and
09:20has been for almost all time as long as he's been directing um and a great performance from gabriel
09:28basso and everybody else so this was a interesting movie and uh we give it five bags of popcorn as
09:35well all right uh i hope there's a part three a chapter three i like that they they're calling it a
09:42chapter rather than a part well it feels like then at the end of the day you're gonna have a book
09:47right like if you have seven or ten of these movies i think movies have chapters too it doesn't
09:52have to be a book right but chapters are generally smaller uh installments of a story and doesn't have
09:59to be all right let's go through gabby's this is now gabby's dollhouse the movie uh released uh
10:08starring excuse me directed by ryan crago starring laila lockhart kramer craner kristin
10:16and carlin tessara uh gabby and grandma gigi's road trip takes an unexpected turn when gabby prized
10:24gabby's prized dollhouse ends up with an eccentric cat lady vera gabby embarks on a and an adventure
10:32to reunite gabby cats and of course retrieve her beloved beloved dollhouse before it's too late
10:38what'd you make of gabby's dollhouse the movie one thing i really like about this is if you have
10:43you want to take some kids to a movie you can't take them to strangers the strangers chapter two
10:50because that's got adult concepts and things this is more of a movie for all ages you could be three
10:57years old and a lot of there were a lot of three and four year olds at the theater when i went to
11:01see this so it's kind of a universal movie not the studio universal but more just something that
11:07anyone can enjoy i also really appreciated that they've revived the trend of having the movie
11:13in the title because you have so many things like superman that is a comic book a tv show
11:21you need to know what it is you're buying what you're buying a ticket to this is a movie this isn't
11:27the tv show right this is a movie and it's also interesting to have the movie at the end because in
11:33recent years they've started even when they tell you it's a movie like the garfield movie they put
11:39the name in between the words the and movie the garfield movie i see the emoji movie right and this
11:46is giving you the title and then adding the movie at the end which i think is a better way to do it
11:51uh i love this movie the movie uh and i think it's a very interesting story and the characters are
11:57really beloved instantly beloved i'd love to see more of these movies sequels and i'm going to give
12:03it five bags of popcorn all right well i really wanted to see this one i went down to the theater
12:08uh to see it and it was a you know 11 a.m matinee and uh the usher came by and he said what are you
12:16doing here i said i'm here to see this movie and he got his manager the manager came over and i said
12:24listen i'm i'm here to music where you don't have kids said no i don't i do but i don't i did as well
12:31as you know and i do in a lot of ways but uh they're not here and uh he said well we can't have
12:38you here why is that well you asked you they thought it was something suspicious about it which
12:45there wasn't and they asked me to leave and i didn't want to get into it and i i was exited from
12:50the theater what theater was that because i'm gonna i i'm gonna i don't want to dox this place
12:56well it was a major brand anyways this doesn't seem like it's for me anyways but if you do
13:01have really small kids it seems like it's the movie for you so no i think this is good for anybody and
13:06i think that that theater manager should be ashamed of himself and you should let me know what it is and
13:11i will get my true blue film buffs on the case and we will have a word with this guy i will talk
13:17about that with you no one should be turned away from a movie all right well why don't we wrap
13:21things up here i'll give it five bags of popcorn because according to you it seems like a great
13:25movie and i talked to grok about it and uh grok was saying that it was a pretty strong film sort of
13:31first a good film from ryan craigo talk to the experts first and it is a good film it's i did like
13:36i said i talked to grok about it and he recommended that people see grok saw the movie
13:40but all right well that's all we have time for today and we're gonna we do have time for another
13:48update since we had to hear about your kidneys and things during the time that could have been
13:54popcorn classics um i have been doing some a lot of the vfa uh supporters and fans and admirers
14:02honestly of the vfa and all that we do have been asking what is going on with the vfa lately because
14:09we were trying to get a new building and right now we're using this extended stay america as a temp
14:14uh as as this high network but i've actually been working on a project that is going to revolutionize
14:21film archiving and that is going to take the vfa into the 21st century and it's going to expand our
14:28collection uh probably by 50 to 100 percent which is we have been um systematically buying up
14:35with some of the money left over from the settlement uh buying up dvds i know don't shoot the messenger
14:43though uh buying up some of these dvds which are getting really cheap we bought a pallet from a shop
14:49that went out of business must have been a thousand dvds uh for four hundred dollars and what we're doing
14:56is systematically uh transferring the movies that came out between 2004 which was when the last vhs
15:05releases came out and the current day transferring them directly to vhs tape designing covers and
15:12packages and basically creating the world's most up-to-date uh and complete archive and it's been a
15:18great process okay well interesting use of funds uh and we should say just to wrap this up that we uh
15:26there there was we don't want to get into the weeds of the business here but the the high network and
15:31high properties and high incorporated now is back under my leadership i think you're okay with me
15:38saying that uh we did a transfer of ownership this is for some sort of boring reasons but definitely
15:44protecting you from uh and protecting the company from any potential lawsuits that might be coming our
15:50way due to incidents that happened in the past and the person who should be worried about lawsuits is the
15:55movie house owner right why don't we not get into that because i don't want you on record with
16:01anything like that about the lease okay all right well that's all the time we have uh today but we
16:06will be back next week with more reviews and more news about movies here on on cinema at the cinema
16:12thanks for watching take care
16:14yeah are you just uh throwing away the blu-rays then or are you giving them back to goodwill or what do you think you're doing with it
16:25i'm keeping them and there's a problem with the tapes where we're on download so we're keeping those as a separate archive
16:31just as a backup
16:32i can't have that stuff
16:34for now it's piling up but it is going to be moved to another building at some point
16:41okay by the end of the week
16:42the end of the week
16:54you
