00:00Oh boy, John, some movement in the power surge.
00:03Yeah, we saw some movement, so I'll just recap last week.
00:05The top six, Kansas City took the number one spot.
00:08They lost.
00:08San Francisco was on a bye.
00:10Minnesota at three.
00:11They lost.
00:12Chicago, big win.
00:13They were at four.
00:14Cincinnati won, but did they really?
00:18OT with Tennessee?
00:19Yeah.
00:21I'll get to some of those numbers in just a moment.
00:23And Seattle at six.
00:24They lost.
00:25So, what does that mean?
00:26And I'm kind of going away from the tier system.
00:30Because we're starting to get through the weeds a little bit.
00:34And here's what I have for this.
00:36The teams that are falling away.
00:38Cleveland.
00:39I know you want MVP votes for Deshaun Watson.
00:43No, not anymore.
00:43Cleveland's falling away.
00:44Baltimore.
00:45Injury.
00:46And what are they starting?
00:47A high school senior tomorrow night?
00:50Dallas is falling away.
00:52Dallas has had a gift given to them, but they just can't take it.
00:56They can't close out games.
00:58They should have beat the Giants.
00:59They should have beat Arizona.
01:01Doesn't that make it sweeter, though, that Dallas will fail given the runway?
01:05I absolutely love watching the camera on Jerry Jones at the end of games.
01:10And you can just read his lips.
01:12It's unbelievable.
01:13And the way that they lost that game to Gardner Minshew.
01:19Unreal.
01:20The Raiders at four and four are starting to fall off.
01:24And I don't even know what to make of the NFC South.
01:26You've got Carolina, Tampa, and Atlanta, all with three wins.
01:30Now, some of them have played more games.
01:32Some of them have four losses.
01:33Some of them have, you know, it's just what's going to happen there.
01:38Let me ask you this before we get into the, just on the outside looking in.
01:43And NFC South, what do you make of it?
01:45Because as I mentioned, Carolina, Tampa, Atlanta, all with three wins.
01:48I think Tampa's going to win it.
01:51There are some people that believe Atlanta with B.
01:54John Robinson.
01:55Yeah, but Tampa just played Atlanta.
01:57Baker didn't have to complete a pass.
01:58And they said thank you to not one, two, but three, but four picks for Michael Penix.
02:03Ah, unbelievable.
02:04What was the weather?
02:06Anyway, just on the outside looking in, we've got the Rams that are starting to sneak back
02:11into things.
02:12The New York Giants.
02:15Huh?
02:16Huh?
02:16Huh?
02:17Okay.
02:18Huh?
02:18Huh?
02:19Nine times two.
02:21Minnesota is out of the top six.
02:24See it!
02:24They fall off.
02:25Green Bay, New England.
02:27And New England is, is interesting because they started off horrific in the first couple
02:33of weeks.
02:34Drake May started to play a little bit better and they just kind of been this mixed bag of,
02:39well, we're good offensively.
02:40Oh no, we're not.
02:41We're good defensively.
02:42Oh no, we're not.
02:43Like, so it's, that's, that's kind of like, they're still trying to figure out what they
02:46are.
02:47Pittsburgh.
02:49What do you make Aaron Rodgers season?
02:52That's a little bit of a resurgence.
02:55And it's honestly, when they played Cleveland, and I know I'm very cautious of bringing this
03:02up right now, but I heard it described this way.
03:06It was like Pittsburgh being the big brother, putting little bro Cleveland into a closet
03:13and just beating the hell out of it.
03:15John, you can't use those words this week.
03:16I'm using it in the NFL.
03:18All right.
03:19That's, but that's, and I saw it described, like, that's actually what I saw last Sunday.
03:23So Pittsburgh, um, still on the outside, looking in Cincinnati falls out of the top six because
03:28Joe Burrow threw for over 400 yards, but he had three interceptions.
03:31He had a fumble and they allowed, get this to the Tennessee Titans.
03:38They allowed 440 yards of offense.
03:42And this is a defense that we started to celebrate.
03:44I was going to say, do we need to retract all of the praise early on their defense?
03:48Wow.
03:49Seattle falls out of the, and they were just at six.
03:53So you lose to Chicago bears, uh, and Detroit still on the outside looking in.
03:59I need to see what they look like with all the injuries.
04:03What are they going to do now?
04:05We're not going to learn a lot against Miami this week.
04:08And as we go, we made a little bit, learn a little bit more, but they're going to have
04:12to add because the teams that are in the top six have added.
04:16So let's get into those top six.
04:18Now there is one characteristic that all five of these have Jacksonville is at number six.
04:25Now everybody's going to look and say, well, they beat the hell out of a depleted Indianapolis
04:29Colts team.
04:30They did what they were supposed to do and they went out and they stomped them and they kept
04:34stomping them for 60 minutes.
04:35So they come in at six, um, defensively top 10 defense in scoring, right?
04:42So that's what that's, that's how I'm using.
04:43This is not top top 10 defense and yards or anything.
04:46It's just scoring defense.
04:47They're in the top 10 Buffalo comes in at five and I'm shocked because I've seen a lot
04:52of power rankings that have Buffalo at one.
04:57And I just, I look at it and they're the only outlier in this, their defense right now
05:03in scoring defense, 24, you ask, where are the lions and why do I have them out?
05:07Well, first of all, they lost to Buffalo.
05:09And second of all, the lions are at 23.
05:12Now it's an improvement over where they were at 31.
05:15And it's also an improvement of the Buffalo bills to be at the 24 spot, but they're the
05:20only team that doesn't have a top 10 scoring defense in the top six.
05:25And a lot of that just has to do with Josh Allen, Kansas city losing to Denver.
05:31They had every opportunity to win that game and they're a team that is going to have to
05:37add wide receiver help.
05:39You can't expect Kenneth Walker to do it all.
05:43He is the back that at times can, but if you're going to load up and I can't even imagine
05:48I'm saying this, but if you're going to load up against the run, because you're not concerned
05:52about their past game with Patrick Mahomes as your quarterback, something's wrong.
05:56Something's wrong.
05:56Yeah.
05:57Here's my weekly plea to save my fantasy team.
05:59Please get Brian Thomas jr.
06:00To Kansas city.
06:01So Kansas city comes in at four after having lost to Denver, Denver, the team that, that
06:05beat Kansas city comes in at three Bo Nix in the fourth quarter was dynamic.
06:10And did he finally find the rhythm a little bit?
06:15He's never been a game breaker, but he found a good rhythm last year.
06:19And then he obviously had the ankle injury.
06:21Is he finally starting through eight games to find a little bit of the magic that he
06:25had last year and Jonah Coleman, their running back who had a phenomenal game here earned
06:32himself some more carries.
06:33He exploded on the scene.
06:34So Denver at six and two comes in at three.
06:38Now the big question, I've got two teams that I haven't mentioned yet, San Francisco and
06:44Chicago, San Francisco on a buy.
06:46I had them at number two last week.
06:49How could you get better in a buy?
06:52Well, they didn't lose.
06:53So they bump up to one, but nipping at their heels is the Chicago bears at two.
06:59The Chicago bears, as we discussed yesterday, may be the most complete team.
07:04And again, everybody except Buffalo top 10 defense.
07:09They added Simmons to that defense instant impact.
07:13And you saw Seattle try and add an offensive lineman to create that similar impact.
07:18I think Seattle goes as a running back and then they may work their way back into the
07:23mix here, but Chicago and then San Francisco.
07:26I think the buy we came at the absolute perfect time for San Francisco because banged up and
07:31DeForest Buckner.
07:33What does he look like in this San Francisco defense?
07:36He's played in it before.
07:37He's back in San Francisco and Mike Evans, Bosa, like they start getting some of these
07:45guys back and some of them may actually be back after this by week.
07:48Now, all of a sudden with the way that, you know, quarterback play spreading the ball around
07:54Shanahan's offense.
07:55I just think that right now they're still the better team than Chicago rapid fire one
08:01through six for people, San Francisco, Chicago, Denver, Kansas city, Buffalo, and Jacksonville
08:06peanut gallery feedback.
08:09I would probably have Jacksonville at four and then slide Kansas city to five and Buffalo
08:13to six.
08:14Uh, their point differential is the best.
08:16The NFL is plus 85.
08:17A lot of that has to do with last week's 35 point win.
08:19Right.
08:20Uh, I just think they're sneaky.
08:22I'll tell you that what I looked at their schedule coming up week.
08:24I think we can play a schedule game in season a little bit more accurately.
08:28They don't suffer significant injuries.
08:31Jacksonville is going to be the one seat in a renovated stadium that seat only seats
08:3542,000.
08:37Wait, are they playing Jacksonville or are they going to actually play their playoff games?
08:41Is it going to be the first playoff game over overseas?
08:43That would be the argument.
08:44It doesn't hurt teams to go to London.
08:46If they win the Superbowl or go to it, they played more overseas than any other team.
08:52Home away from home.
08:53Yeah.
08:54It's a power surge.
08:55It's 97 one.
