00:06well hello there folks and happy saturday to you it's lovely to see you and i hope as usual that
00:12i find you very well and thanks for coming over just for a wee nosy to see what i picked
00:17up from
00:18the supermarket this week and we've gone back to waitrose just because the quality of everything
00:23last week was just fabulous so we spent just over 70 pounds and we've gone to the local fruit shop
00:30and holland and barrett as well so let me go and show you what we had this week so we
00:36went into
00:36holland and barrett just by chance i picked a pack of these up at lunchtime and they are amazing
00:42so i've got i've got a lot more of them now if you've not tried these give them a go
00:47they are
00:48amazing and then from the local fruit shop we've got some satsumas or tangerines or easy peelers
00:54clementines not sure what they are just wee oranges so we got some of those and some apples as well
01:01and then we got some bananas so there are five in there those ones are from waitrose and then also
01:07picked up a lemon we're going to be having fish and chips at some point which we haven't had i
01:12feel like
01:13for ages and then i got some cooking sauce we're going to be having married meat chicken which does
01:18take a while to make when you do it from scratch so this jar is going to be a godsend
01:24and this was
01:25a substitution i'd ordered maris piper potatoes so they sent me the king edwards which are still
01:31great potatoes so that's fine and then some basil we're going to be having ravioli at some point so
01:39the basil will go on top of the ravioli and then mr what's for tea is looking for low fat
01:44or fat
01:45free yogurt at the moment so he has got two of these greek style yogurts and my usual skier which
01:53is zero percent fat and i just add flavorings and fruits and things to that and i got some things
01:58to
01:58make a stir fry they have a deal where you get the sauce the protein the noodles or rice and
02:05then
02:05the vegetables as well so it works out cheaper than buying them individually so you get everything
02:11for eight pounds so you've got a choice of your different proteins depending on your preferences or
02:17dietary preferences and then a whole load of vegetables and bean sprouts and different things
02:22that you can add and then obviously your rice or noodles depending on what you prefer as well
02:29and then your sauce so they've got a few different sauces you can pick from i picked up as you've
02:35seen
02:35there the chow mein sauce which i have tried before from different places and generally it's quite nice
02:42so you got all of that for eight pounds and it'll be enough for two people if you add in
02:47more protein
02:48you could make it spin out a wee bit further but i thought that wasn't bad and then some roast
02:53beef
02:53for sandwiches or rolls and this one was on offer and i think this looks lovely yes i'll be looking
03:00forward to trying that probably on a wee sandwich during the week and then a brown loaf or a whole
03:07meal loaf this is just their own brand of bread so i thought i'd give that one a go and
03:12this is the
03:13egg egg fried noodles the egg noodles for the stir fry we're going to be having and then i picked
03:20up
03:21some ravioli this one was on offer and i think it looks amazing there's actually quite a lot in there
03:27as well so this is the induya sort of spicy sausage filled ravioli and to you know to go along
03:34with that
03:34i also got an induya pasta sauce which i think is going to be you know really really nice together
03:40so
03:40this was an offer and the sauce was an offer as well and i'll just add extra onions and peppers
03:47and
03:47cayenne pepper and paprika probably to this so these kinds of sauces with me act as a kind of base
03:54and i just add you know whatever i fancy or whatever i've got lying about just to use up and
03:59throw in
04:00and then we're going to be having burgers so i picked up some burger buns and these wagyu burgers if
04:07you
04:07remember we were at wales not that long ago it wasn't wales actually it was york and we tried a
04:13wagyu
04:14burger down there which i'd never tried before and it was lovely the texture was amazing so these were
04:21on offer so these were you know normally six pounds i think for two burgers which i think is you
04:27know
04:27ludicrous for two burgers but when they are on offer i said i'll just give them a go and see
04:33what
04:33they're like and then some honey as well just for the breakfast yogurt and fruit and cereal in the
04:40morning and then some tartar sauce to go along with the fish and chips that we're going to be having
04:45and then a packet of pasta and sauce which unfortunately was not an offer but i'll pop
04:51that into the cupboard and then some shower spray just to sort of spray down the shower when you're
04:56in a shower this is the larger pack which was an offer and then some butter again was an offer
05:02i found that with waitrose they've got lots of offers you know and the things that you would
05:07normally be buying which is really good and it saves a bit of money when you're checking out
05:11when it's all combined the fish for the fish and chips and this is the stir fry vegetable mix that
05:18i
05:19chose and i thought this one looked lovely and colourful although it is called bright and colourful
05:24but look at the presentation even how they wrap the carrots around you know they make everything look
05:30really pretty reminds me so much of marks and spencer but just not quite as expensive or extravagant as
05:38marks and spencer i don't think and then some chips as well and again these were on offer so yeah
05:45i'll
05:45pop those into the freezer and then i got some corn we're going to be having the cheeseburger
05:51macaroni bake thing that i do so i usually get the frozen corn but the you know the fresh corn
05:56has a
05:57nicer texture and it cooks a wee bit nicer as well and this is the beef for the stir fry
06:03we're going
06:04to be having so it'll be the beef the veggies and that lovely chow mein sauce and those noodles will
06:10all just get combined in the one pan with a wee bit of you know wee touch of this and
06:15a wee touch of that
06:16things that i like to add so yeah that was everything that we got in waitrose and the fruit shop
06:22and those crisps from holland and barrett and honestly if you're near a holland and barrett
06:27give them a go to me they taste exactly like wee mini indian poppadoms they're just the same so yeah
06:35do give them a go and we do need to go to tesco as well there were a couple of
06:39things i couldn't get
06:40in waitrose one being the slim fast bars that we like to buy and also some tuna which was a
06:46lot more
06:46expensive in waitrose so we're just going to pick that up in tesco as well so thank you so much
