A cosy Sainsbury’s Scotland family grocery haul with a local butcher stop, showing exactly what went into this week’s shop and how a little over £90 was spent. Cheryl shares the mix of everyday cupboard staples, fresh produce, chilled items, and a few half-price bargains picked up for the week ahead.

There are Maris Piper potatoes, bananas, swede, satsumas, Brussels sprouts, mushrooms, pasta, rice, baked beans, dishwasher tablets, toothpaste, butter, yogurt, Actimel, frozen chips, caramel wafers, puff pastry, and a few handy ready-made items like gravy and Diane sauce. From the butcher came mince round, chicken breasts, thin sirloin steak, and mince beef for lasagna, with a few meal ideas already planned around steak and chips, chicken dinner, and family cooking.

This is a warm Scottish food haul and budget grocery shopping video with a relaxed, down-to-earth feel, ideal for viewers who enjoy supermarket hauls, butcher shop hauls, meal planning, and everyday family food shopping in the UK. It also gives a realistic look at seasonal groceries, offer hunting, and stocking the cupboard for the week.

Created for fans of UK grocery haul videos, Sainsbury’s shop with me content, Scottish family food hauls, budget supermarket shopping, and meal planning ideas. 00:03well hello there folks and a very warm welcome as usual back to what's for tea and our family
00:09food shop for this week and i do hope that i find you very well indeed and it's the 15th
00:15of
00:16november can you believe it i don't you know i just don't understand where the year has gone
00:21we're only a few weeks away from christmas and it's my favorite time of the year so i love it
00:26but i just you know i think the months have flown by yet my favorite time of the year but
00:31it is very
00:32chilly at the moment i just love the atmosphere and the shops and you know everything that goes
00:37along with it but anyway getting back to this week's food shop and i spent just over 90 pounds
00:43we went to sainsbury's and also a few things in the local butcher as well so i'll start from the
00:48beginning in no particular order so i got a wee swede or quite a big swede actually this is quite
00:53a big boy but yeah to go at the side of something and then some bananas as well which i
00:59always think
00:59are really good value but sometimes they're really green and you do have to leave them for a couple of
01:04days but they'll be absolutely fine and then a big bag of my usual preferred potatoes are the maddest
01:10pipers they're just good for everything and then some diluting juice or squash whatever you want to
01:17call it and i thought this one looked nice and it was an offer so it's a bonus and then
01:21mr
01:22what's for tea's tea he likes to decaf erl grey i don't mind the erl grey but i do find
01:27it a wee
01:28bit perfumey from time to time and then a box of stuffing mix as well i think paxo is the
01:34best i've
01:35tried cheaper ones but i definitely think you know paxo is one of the better ones for a dried mix
01:41and
01:42then some cooking salt and then some cleaner for the shower as well that's my favorite it's just really
01:48good and then some flat cap mushrooms we're going to be having steak and chips one night so i thought
01:53the flat cap mushrooms would be nice and then some of the boil in the bag rice which wasn't a
01:58really
01:59good offer don't usually get this kind of thing but since it was an offer i picked that up and
02:04then a
02:04big bag of penny and a big bag of macaroni just because i'm nearly out of both of those so
02:10it's just
02:10to stock up and then some dishwasher tablets and again i usually just buy whatever is on offer and
02:16this one was on offer i don't think it makes much difference really i've tried lots of different
02:21brands and they're all more you know the more or less the same some walkers baked crisps for a wee
02:27different apparently they're 60 less fat so we'll see what they're like and then a couple of packs of
02:33pasta and sauce just to pop into the cupboard just for a quick lunch or something and then madeira cake
02:38and i'm happy to see their cherries have sunk to the bottom as well because whenever i make this the
02:44cherries always sink to the bottom and then a couple of kitchen rolls and then just a couple
02:49of small tins of the baked beans yeah some of my beans get wasted you know the large tins so
02:55i
02:55thought i'd try the smaller ones again something i wouldn't normally buy but it was half price
03:00and we are going to be having chicken at some point i'm not going to have any juices because it's
03:05just
03:05chicken breasts so i thought i'd try this ready-made gravy like i said it was half price not something
03:11i
03:11would normally buy but i just wanted to see how it compares to my own chicken gravy the same as
03:17the
03:17steak sauce this is diane sauce which i think is just a creamy mushroom sauce to go with the steak
03:23because it's half price i thought i'd give it a wee go and it's a good time saver completely out
03:29of
03:29black pepper and also there's grindy salt so i got the salt and pepper mills as well and those last
03:36for absolute ages for yogurts i picked up one of the yo valley lemon curd which is lovely and zesty
03:43and also this one as well both were on offer so i got those and this butter as well was
03:50on offer so
03:51i think this would be lovely for toast i wouldn't use this for baking or anything but it will be
03:55used
03:55for sandwiches or toast you know that kind of thing and then a net of satsumas as well i tend
04:02to buy
04:02these at this time of year i don't know why but i do like them and then a bag of
04:07brussels sprouts as
04:08well to go along with the chicken and then some actimel and this one was on offer this week and
04:14then
04:14a bag of frozen chips these are amazing but very fattening and then we needed some toothpaste as well
04:21this one was half price which was an absolute bargain and then some caramel wafers and if you're in
04:27this country you will know exactly what these are but we like a wee caramel waver and then some puff
04:33pastry as well and then from the local butcher i picked up a mince round which is just a mince
04:39beef
04:39pie i also got some chicken breasts as well and the chicken breasts from the butcher you know they're
04:45just in a class all of their own they're not the cheapest but they're lovely and then a couple of
04:50slices of thin sirloin steak and then a pound of mince beef as well because i'm going to be doing
04:56a lasagna so that was everything that i got between sainsbury's and the local butcher and
05:02this will see us through till next week but i have forgotten quite a few things i meant to get
05:06marmalade and jam and another few bits and bobs for next week's recipe which i will pick up
05:11throughout the week so that'll probably add another 20 25 on top as well but thank you so much for
