Halloween pizza skulls make a fun, spooky party snack that’s easy to put together and perfect for last-minute entertaining. Cheryl shows how to use a skull-shaped Nordic Ware tin to create savoury pizza pockets filled with mozzarella, pizza sauce, Italian seasoning and pepperoni, then sealed with egg wash and baked until golden and bubbling.

The dough is rolled out, cut into squares, and pressed into each cavity to capture the skull detail on the underside. A quick chill in the fridge helps them hold their shape before baking, and the finished pizza skulls are served warm with marinara sauce for dipping. It’s a simple Halloween recipe with a clever presentation, ideal for family food, party food, and a fun baking project.

If you enjoy Halloween recipes, savoury baking, pizza pockets, or easy themed party food, this recipe is a great fit. It also works well for anyone searching for spooky food ideas, stuffed pizza snacks, or a simple make-ahead Halloween appetizer. Perfect for Halloween cooking, easy savoury bakes, and festive snack ideas for the season.

00:06well hello there folks and a very warm welcome back to what's for tea it's lovely to see you
00:12all again and i hope that i find you very well as usual and here is a fantastic halloween video
00:19recipe from my channel from about two years ago so i'm just going to show you how i'm putting
00:24these together so sit back and relax because if you are looking for something that wee bit
00:29different to make this halloween this might be right up your street so this is everything that
00:34i used here but as usual everything will be in the description box underneath the video and i'll
00:40also put it on the screen as i'm using it as well and obviously you can stuff these with whatever
00:45you like i am using cheese tomato and mini pepperoni but this was the dough that i used here this
00:52dough
00:53was absolutely wonderful it was a dream to use just so so easy and it also came with a wee
00:59jar
01:00of pizza sauce which was really handy so this is the tin that i'm using here like i said i
01:05am going
01:05to be giving this away to one of you so stay tuned till the end of the video if you
01:10do want to win
01:11this tin for yourself as long as you don't mind that i've used it i will wash it you know
01:16and package
01:16it up for you if you are going to order one of these tins just be careful that you don't
01:21end up
01:21with something like this because they're all over amazon and ebay just keep an eye on the price
01:27if it's about seven or eight or nine or ten pounds chances are you'll get the one in the right
01:32the one
01:33you want is from a brand called nordic wear you know they're going to be the right size it's going
01:38to be the right quality yeah this is what you want this chap here it's just wonderful to use
01:43so the first thing i'm going to do is give this a good spray with some non-stick cooking spray
01:48or you
01:49could use some melted butter anything just to grease the inside just to make sure that your
01:53pizza skulls are easy to get out at the end so you want to roll out your pizza dough whatever
01:59you're
02:00deciding to use or you might even want to use your own you know if you're any good at pizza
02:05dough i'm
02:05rubbish at that kind of thing so things like this make my life a lot easier so you just want
02:11to roll
02:11this out into a nice even rectangle then grab yourself a knife and you want to cut this into six
02:18sections so six squares just make sure your squares are big enough to cover the tops of each of your
02:24molds this stuff is quite stretchy so you can obviously pull it into shape to suit yourself so
02:31just drape that over one of your cavities and allow it to fall in just make sure you've got a
02:36wee
02:36bit left over so that you can tuck it in at the end so i'm going to start with some
02:41cheese that's
02:42about a tablespoon of mozzarella and then about a tablespoon of the pizza sauce i'm adding some
02:48italian seasoning and a few wee a few wee bits of pepperami or pepperoni use whatever you like
02:54and then i'm also going to add in some more cheese and i'm just going to tuck the ends in
02:59just to make
03:00sure nothing escapes as it's cooking but we are going to go over these at the end with some egg
03:05wash
03:05so don't worry too much about that just now just give it a good squidge into your tin just to
03:10make
03:10sure you get a good impression on the underside where the face is so i'm just going to quickly
03:16do the rest of my wee cavities but i will speed it up because it's just the same thing over
03:21and over
03:21again but let me tell you guys this was so so easy it really was and they look quite impressive
03:27at the
03:27end so see if you're going to a party or something like that you know these would be ideal so
03:33yeah just
03:33keep going until you're happy and like i said do give them a good wee press down and one of
03:39mine was
03:39quite small at the end just because i had a smaller piece of dough but it'll be absolutely fine it's
03:44just not as big as his friends but it'll be just as tasty so last thing you want to do
03:49is whip up an
03:49egg with a wee bit of water and lightly brush the tops of your skulls just to give them a
03:54wee bit of a
03:54seal pop these into the fridge for about half an hour just to firm up a wee bit and then
04:00put them
04:00into the middle of your oven gas mark five or six for about half an hour until they're lovely and
04:06toasty on the top and they should be looking something like this now don't these look amazing
04:12i was delighted with these and i think a lot of this you know they're a really good color i
04:18think
04:18a lot of this is down to that fantastic pan you know apparently nordic ware is a you know it's
04:24a really
04:25good brand for these kinds of pans i've never heard of it but apparently they're quite big in the us
04:29where they are made so like i said if you're going to buy one of these pans do try and
04:35get the nordic
04:35ware pan that's what i would recommend anyway these were absolutely piping bubbling hot so i'm trying
04:42to hold these but they keep wanting to escape out my hands and i've just warmed up some marinara sauce
04:48so that's just a cheese sort of cheesy tomatoey sauce on the side just to dip your skulls and
04:53you know it's just lovely so i'm going to pull one apart here as you can see they're burning
04:58my hands and actually dropped i just wanted you to see inside but i'm doing a terrible job of that
05:04but yeah you can see how warm they are inside but so let me know what you thought of that
05:09one i think
05:09that's a fab idea especially for halloween which is just around the corner so thank you so much for
05:15watching if you're still here and a special thank you to the supporters of the channel over on my
05:21patreon page and to the channel members here on youtube to anyone who's left me a lovely comment
