An $89,000 humanoid robot just went for a Sunday stroll in Brooklyn Bridge Park. 🤖🌳
On Sunday, October 25, 2026, the New York Post spotted a life-sized AI humanoid robot walking around Brooklyn Bridge Park, singing to children and dancing with people, with the Manhattan skyline behind it. The robot was designed by California-based Faraday Future, according to the company's chief technology officer, Hong Rao, who was steering the $89,000 robot with a small remote control, so it wasn't operating fully on its own. Rao told the Post the aim is for the robot to learn to "interact" and "nurture," so it could one day work as a babysitter, a teacher or a companion. Most parkgoers barely blinked, and a group of visitors posed for a photo with it between the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges.
