00:43and uh johansen and to a lesser extent palika we're we're on our defense right now in the red wings
00:51we're in a position of strength for a trade and it's a very unique skill set like gator has said
00:57about um um edmondson but i think right now if we could get a real decent offensive player uh a

01:07uh and maybe a package for uh edmondson i'd feel a lot different than i felt a month or so

01:14i think these couple young defensemen particularly wallander and um uh johansen have some really
01:21good ability to be solid nfl and hl defensemen the last thing i'll say is that with regard to
01:27larkin i'd love larkin to stay here but the fact of the matter is he has not uh come out

01:34that he wants to stay here and as long as that's the situation i think you got to clear it

01:48to do and he'll play hockey for the red wings until he's not a red wing but when you're expanding

01:57that's where he's been for months and they haven't moved him yet and now maybe we'll see we see some
02:03potential uh that they could get moved as far as the defense is concerned i think yeah i agree with

02:15uh sandy pellick has been a disappointment um doesn't mean you have to give up on him but
02:21he needs he certainly needs more work to be more responsible as a player but he's got talent and
02:27and they're playing right now without edvinson as much as i love simon edvinson and i want him
02:33they're doing okay without him because they do have depth on the blue line but adding him to the blue

02:40would be amazing so i don't want to trade him but if they have to that they have to i

02:45um and it may get to a situation maybe he has said to his agent get me out of detroit

03:50late in the season only prospect right that this postava is the guy that uh that got the chance
03:56and and boy he looked great for grand rapids last year and then started off this season looking great
04:02kind of solidifying his spot i don't know if he's going to be a real deal or not but i'm
04:07encouraged
04:08by what i what i've seen well both on a stat line and also with my own eyes as i
04:15watch the game against
04:16edmonton hard to ignore that that performance going against and how good he looked shootout yeah yeah i
04:22mean the he's giving me hasik vibes yeah the way he played his style for those 60 minutes he was
04:27effective in those 60 minutes i'm not making any proclamations beyond that um but he is that's
04:34the style that he reminded me of it's i will not forget march and april with this team and maybe
04:39maybe
04:40at all and the reason it's part of a dream is because it'd be nice to catch a break we

04:47a guy who was not a top draft pick and to get to catch a break with a goaltender a
04:53young goaltender
04:54it would be nice it's been a minute we have created a whole entire brand new term that everybody
05:00knows what we're talking about as it pertains to the red wings the munch of marth right we hate the
05:07munch of marth uh i think i would be open to trading more open to trading larkin than edvinson especially
05:14considering their ages and where this team is at d men like edvinson don't come along often
05:21what do you make of that yes that's why i don't i'm uncomfortable trading edvinson
05:28my entire life i've been hearing they need a big defenseman they need a big defenseman
05:33and when they've gotten them it's either been at the end of their careers like a darian hatcher
05:38or something tragic happens and you have this situation with yuri fisher
05:43um they need they've always needed to get that big defenseman now you've got one you drafted one
05:49he's huge six foot six six foot seven he's awesome maybe he's not awesome he's he's a very good player
05:56and he's very young would expect only get better and you have a pairing you could pair him with with
06:03most cider if you want and dominate or you could have the second pairing with him my goodness that's
06:09that's a leg up defensively max boltman uh had a tweet the other day uh that was
06:17highlighting it was a fan put it out there boltman retweeted it uh the writer covers the
06:21revving for the revvings for the athletic it was one shift where most cider was facing
06:28conor mcdavid in the whole shift he shadowed him and multiple times he knocked the puck away
06:35from mcdavid and eventually stole it from him outright and started to break out the other
06:39direction and it was just a great little snippet from the game where we got to watch our guy go
06:45against their guy and look it's you know easier to get the puck away and to clear his home than
06:51it is
06:51to score a goal but it was a really impressive shift shadowing arguably the most dangerous player in
06:58the game so uh fbg 25 on twitch says snarky texter having a busy day they're busy every day
07:07they're dedicated it's okay look um i'm sure this is referencing back to two people on espn praising
07:15the lions one saying nobody's playing better the quarterback position better than jared goff and
07:19another one picking the lions to win the division leading to some snarky text it's fun sometimes to
07:26get an outsider's opinion that has good things to say about your team because we're fully susceptible
07:33to being homers here fully susceptible but you know i like to i like to look at things how can
07:39they work
07:40out and occasionally they do occasionally our team gets to cut down nets occasionally our team it's been
07:47a minute win it all occasionally our team will exceed expectations and right now this red wing team has
07:55made me curious even without two of their better players i'm not fired up particularly about them
08:01yet i don't know that anything's going to be different but is is it's not like they've been
08:07great but they've been a little bit better than i expected them to be so take it for what it's
