00:00It's the return of Cam Scadaboo, J.J. McCarthy's starting debut,
00:04and who are the traitors that Denaro Wilson can be talking about?
00:09What's going on, everybody?
00:10Welcome to another episode of our Blue Rush preview show
00:14for the New York Post Sports.
00:16Brandon London, Paul Schwartz, our longtime beat writer for the Post.
00:20Paul, traitors?
00:23Traitors?
00:23In Call of Duty, if someone's a traitor on the headset
00:26and called a dually, I'm flipping out.
00:29I'm flipping out.
00:30But, you know, traitors, a lot of storylines going into this one.
00:33Obviously, I just had to hype that up, get the people talking
00:36and wondering what we're going to talk about.
00:38So go ahead, man.
00:39You start, my friend.
00:40What's some of the biggest headlines going into Giants-Texans?
00:45Well, look, I mean, the new quarterback, it is always a big story, right?
00:49And, you know, over the past few years, we've had it where it's been, you know,
00:54the Mike Lennons and the Jake Fromms and even Tommy DeVito.
00:57And it's like, you know, they just had a, you know, a quarterback got hurt.
01:01They had to try the next guy.
01:02This guy got hurt.
01:03They had to try the next guy.
01:05And it was, you know, it was like depressing.
01:08You know, it was depressing because, you know, those guys weren't the guy.
01:11And they just had to be in there.
01:13This, we don't know if J.J. McCarthy's the guy, certainly.
01:16But I think there is some, I know there is intrigue to see what this young 23-year-old,
01:23he's, you know, a few months older than Jackson Dart only, what he can do running this operation
01:30in what we all knew would be a very, very challenging game, whether it was Jackson Dart
01:35or Jameis Winston or now J.J. McCarthy.
01:37So, look, the Giants, we knew they had seven games before the bye, right?
01:44That's a very short.
01:45They usually had nine or ten games before the bye, at least eight.
01:48These seven games have been packed with a tremendous amount of stuff.
01:54Demotions, promotions, guys getting cut, guys getting hurt.
01:59And through it all, maybe the most surprising thing is that no matter what happens this weekend,
02:04the Giants will be alone in first place.
02:07Doesn't even make sense.
02:08But here we are.
02:09So weird.
02:10It's Stranger Things, this entire, the start of the season, emotional rollercoaster for
02:16Giants fans.
02:17It's like one second, you're out in the parking lot, you're turned up for, after beating the
02:23Cowboys on Sunday night football to start it off, and then it's just, it hits you at the
02:27watch party, Jackson Dart's out for the season.
02:30Then you go on a two-game win streak in the reign of Jameis Winston, and you lose again.
02:34It's just, you tie, then lose.
02:37But this whole J.J. McCarthy thing, I'm kind of excited for it because I, remember I wanted
02:42to see the packages and see if they can kind of slowly put him in the season.
02:46I want Jameis to play well enough to at least hold on to his job until at least the bye
02:52week
02:52to give J.J. a full two weeks of, you know, of extra preparation before really throwing
02:58him in there.
03:00Unfortunate for him that he's getting thrown to the woods to a Texans defense that's starting
03:05to come into its own.
03:06And D'Amico Ryans has taken over, and he's going to call the plays, but a couple things
03:12here.
03:13Again, his legs, that ability for him to make a blitzer miss free, you know, through that
03:20sea gap from the Saints game, hit them with that long scramble.
03:24I understand it was, you know, end of the game type thing, but just to be able to see
03:28that athleticism in a game, to see that in person, and then you threw on the fact that
03:36you brought this up a couple weeks ago when they signed him, you said 6-4 as a starter.
03:43Giants are 3-2-1 right now.
03:46If 6-4 plus 3-2-1, that's 9-6-1 on the season, if that happens.
03:52And he didn't even play, well, I guess it was his best football because it was his first
03:56ever football.
03:57Would you take 9-6-1, Paul?
04:00Oh, I definitely would.
04:02I think, you know, privately pretty much, you know, 9-6-1 is probably going to win the
04:08division, I would think, at this point.
04:10I can't win the division, so I get what's at stake.
04:14I get who it is, and, you know, a change of scenery is great for everybody sometimes,
04:19or it could be.
04:20We don't know how this J.J. McCarthy roller coaster is going to go because, you know, he did
04:25have more interceptions than he had touchdowns last year, touchdowns thrown.
04:30So, I'm, what is it, you know, the new roller coasters you strap in from up here, like, I'm
04:36holding on, like, the Mike, it's not the Michael Vick experience like that commercial back in
04:41the day for Nike, but, well, let's see, let's see.
04:44You know, it's a couple of things.
04:46First of all, with Jameis, and, like, why now, right?
04:49Why did they make this move now?
04:50Now, look, you know, after the Jackson Dart went down, the initial thought was it's an
04:56MCL, right?
04:57He'll probably have to miss a month.
04:58That's what we thought of the initial report.
05:01Obviously, the next day was much worse.
05:03You had, you know, meniscus in there as well.
05:06So, your mind already goes to, okay, a month, a month.
05:10You know, I know people in the Giants building said, okay, we got a month here.
05:14Can Jameis get us to two and two?
05:15We think he can get us to two and two.
05:17That's what you want for a backup, you know?
05:19Hold the fort.
05:21Don't have it be a, you know, a jailbreak.
05:24Don't have it be, we can't win any games.
05:26You go three and one, great.
05:28You know, you're not going to go four and oh.
05:29You know, go two and two.
05:30Save our season, right?
05:32SOS.
05:33Keep it afloat.
05:35Jameis went two, one and one.
05:36So, I think, you know, we have to look at that and say, he did his job, right?
05:41He did his job.
05:42He went two, one and one.
05:44It wasn't all his fault.
05:45It wasn't all his credit.
05:47But he went two, one and one as a starter.
05:49We have to give him that.
05:51But it was not going to work for 15 games.
05:53You know, they saw that.
05:54You know, they say, well, why did they extend?
05:56They extended Jameis so if he has to come in for a span of time, can he hold the fort?
06:03He did that.
06:04You know, he proved he could do that.
06:07For 15 games, I don't know what backup you could sign and say, we'll be good for 15 games with
06:12him.
06:12So, it became clear to the Giants, to the front office, and certainly to the coaching staff that, first of
06:18all, too much of the offense, we just can't get to it, Jameis.
06:21You know what I mean?
06:21The offense was set up for Jackson, so we need a Jackson light here.
06:25Jameis just can't do that.
06:27And it was clear that Jameis was just not going to be consistent enough.
06:31He just wasn't.
06:32Will J.J. be more consistent?
06:33I don't know.
06:34Maybe he'll be less.
06:35He could not be as consistent enough.
06:37And the offense was going to be too limited, so make the move now.
06:41That's why they did this.
06:42But one thing you mentioned about the running and all this other stuff.
06:46Look at J.J. McCarthy's history.
06:48He missed his whole first year with a knee injury.
06:53Last year, he missed games with a concussion.
06:55He hurt his right hand against the Giants.
06:59He had an ankle.
07:00I think he might have had a knee.
07:02He has proved to be incredibly not durable when he's played.
07:07So let's be careful with throwing him out there to run like Josh Allen.
07:12And also, you know, he's like you mentioned Michael Vick.
07:14He's not Michael Vick.
07:15Michael Vick was a running back who could throw really well.
07:19You know, he was a running back.
07:21He was fantastic.
07:22He was, you know, he was a sprinter.
07:24He was one of the greatest scramblers in history.
07:26That's not scramblers.
07:29He was one of the greatest runners in history.
07:30That's not J.J.
07:32So I said it wasn't that commercial.
07:36It wasn't that Michael Vick.
07:37No, but I'm saying, you know, I'm not, but I'm saying you mentioned, oh, people have mentioned, oh, Michael Vick.
07:41Yeah.
07:42Or he can run.
07:43He can run.
07:44But the fourth quarter was great.
07:46The fourth quarter against the Saints showed us the skills.
07:50He's got a fastball.
07:52I mean, he's Cam Schlittler out there.
07:55He's not a junk baller.
07:57He can throw the fastball.
07:58And, you know, I saw Adam Thielen just had a, it was an interview, I forget on what outlet, you
08:04know, what it was.
08:05You know, he played with J.J., with the Vikings.
08:09And, you know, Adam Thielen knows something about receiver, right?
08:12He said he throws a great deep ball.
08:14Great.
08:15Now, he has to get better.
08:16J.J. has to get it with the intermediate stuff.
08:18But he throws a great deep ball.
08:20I think we're going to see some deep balls.
08:22But, so the fourth quarter showed us, forget about the production.
08:25You know, anybody would have come in there, you know, who's a competent quarterback and, you know, completed passes.
08:31Because the Saints didn't care if he completed passes.
08:33But he made some great throws.
08:35He showed his legs.
08:36But let's just, he now, they need him to, it would be an incredible downer if he plays well.
08:41And at some point, and he gets hurt.
08:43Then we got to go back to Jameis.
08:45So they got to, remember, just like Jackson Dart, they had to protect him.
08:48We also got to protect J.J. also.
08:51Oh, let's just run him out there.
08:53No, no, no.
08:53Let's be careful.
08:54They want him to be the quarterback now.
08:56Well, it's different now in terms of when you got, you're Brian Dable trying to go to Jackson Dart, telling
09:02him to get down.
09:03You're the golden goose.
09:05Like, I'm trying to protect you, protect my job.
09:07It should be easy to tell J.J. McCarthy to get down.
09:10You got the keys, bro.
09:12Like, you have Jackson Dart's keys.
09:13You get to drive his car right now.
09:15Like, you, and for the most part, it's intact.
09:19Your star receiver is getting his knee.
09:22We're not even thinking about the knee injury.
09:24The tight end is even more than what we thought the tight end was going to be.
09:30You have two weapons.
09:32Now, let's see what you can, see if you can get something out of this Darnell Mooney guy.
09:35Let's see if that deep ball, let's see if we can run Darnell Mooney down the seam where they're trying
09:40to double one likely or Malik neighbors.
09:44See what you can throw up to Isaiah Fields, who, I mean Malachi Fields, who's shown that he's a competent
09:52wide receiver in this league.
09:54We just need to see targets and catchable throws to him.
09:59That's the whole thing.
09:59He's a catch radius guy.
10:01He's not dropping anything.
10:02So, you got, you're in the perfect position if you're J.J. McCarthy to come in, be yourself.
10:08But, yeah, get down.
10:09You're not Josh Allen.
10:11They just need you to just be 10 to 2, man, Allen, or you're going to end up like Brandon
10:15Allen if you're not, if you don't get down and slide.
10:18But, again, part of, and this will transition to our next conversation, part of what they, they make the call,
10:24John Harbaugh makes that call,
10:25is because he's getting nothing out of the backfield.
10:28He's, Coach Harbaugh is being as honest and professional as possible and talking about he wants a Derrick Henry-like
10:39isk running back to being that backfield
10:42because someone has to get this offense chunk plays in the run game, and that's why we've had to make
10:49this call to this type of receiver for this offense.
10:53One of you guys got to be a guy to have any chance to beat the Texans, and you think
10:59it's instead of, what's that song, Return of the Mac, it's Return of the Scat.
11:05See what I did there, Paul?
11:07Very nice.
11:08Look, it's, you're a player, right?
11:12Your father is a coach.
11:14There are certain times, there are certain moments in a career where it is like, okay, there's a crossroads, and
11:21let's see what happens.
11:23You know, it's the greatest, it's the greatest reality show out there, right?
11:28Cam Scataboo, The Return.
11:30You know, I'm not trying to make this too dramatic, but this young running back, it's only his second year,
11:36and he missed a lot of his first year with that terrible dislocated ankle.
11:40This is a crossroads moment for Cam Scataboo.
11:42It really is.
11:43You know, after I say this, I'd like to know if you think I'm being too dramatic or not, but
11:47he was the anointed one.
11:51He was the, he and Jackson Dart, butting heads, right?
11:54That's the face of the offense now.
11:57A lot of people say it's too much.
11:58You know, Cam is not that kind of player.
12:00Then he gets hurt.
12:00Now he's this year.
12:02He did not get off to a great start, but he, you know, they win the game against the Cowboys,
12:06and it's Cam and Jackson, you know, head-butting.
12:10This is great.
12:12Then Cam just is not performing, and then he fumbles, and then he gets benched.
12:16You know, whatever you want to call it.
12:17He got demoted, okay?
12:18He played six snaps last week and didn't get the ball, not because he was punished, because he just was
12:23in for six snaps, and they were in a pass mode.
12:26But he was demoted.
12:28There is no question about it.
12:29And they haven't come out and said he's out of jail now.
12:32He got it out of a jail card.
12:33But I expect he will get a lot more carries.
12:36I don't know if he's going to start or Tyron Tracy Jr. is going to start.
12:39One of them should start, and they need to have the bulk of the carries.
12:43Tyron Tracy has been a better player in his NFL career than Cam Scadaboo has been in his NFL career.
12:49What happened with Tyron Tracy?
12:50He fumbled, had some protection issues in the summer.
12:54He goes off the shelf a little bit.
12:57Cam fumbles.
12:57He goes off the shelf.
12:59And Cam said, he said, he told the post Mark Canizzaro yesterday, six plays last week kind of killed me.
13:07And he was saying that, you know, getting six snaps killed me.
13:11You know, that he's sitting there watching and not doing anything.
13:14And he said, the best players come back from it, get it fixed, and go play ball.
13:20So, I'm not expecting Derrick Henry.
13:23I'm not expecting Saquon Barkley.
13:26But, you know, Cam Scadaboo, like it or not, has, you know, been there starting running back.
13:30So, let's see what he can do against one of the best run defenses in the league.
13:35You know, it's a tough situation.
13:37You know, but tough times make tough, tough players, right?
13:41So, this is an incredible opportunity and just something I'll be fascinated to watch.
13:48And Tyrone Tracy a little bit for that matter because he's been kind of on the shelf here.
13:52You know, can these guys respond and give the Giants more of what they need?
13:59Here's the only thing I'm worried about.
14:01The scat situation when you break it down like that, that could put a player in his head even more.
14:06He's the type of player who has to go out there.
14:08If we're going to call it reckless, we'd love to see a controlled reckless from him.
14:12But I want him to be in his head so much to where it's either the, I got to press
14:19this hole too fast to get this breakout run and there's no patience there.
14:23Or there's some sort of hesitation before trying to go down and take on two people to try and get
14:29a first down.
14:30The extra two, three yards or fighting for an extra five to get that first down.
14:35And it's just, I hope he's not, or he's not going to be in his head too much to where
14:41it doesn't feel natural.
14:43Him doing, he's had success at all levels of him playing football.
14:47He's a guy that's gone through the adversity.
14:49He's like, he's a Ma Bradshaw Jr.
14:52You know, like it's like Isk, you know.
14:55Like AB was giving you like big runs, breaking big play, home run runs.
15:01Because if it's him, if that's in a Cam Scadaboo, then yeah, now's that time.
15:06Now you got to see that.
15:07You got to see that 40 plus yard run here or there, you know, throughout the course of the season
15:13to see that you don't want to be all hype, Paul.
15:16You don't want to be an all hype guy.
15:18And that's what I'm thinking.
15:19Like in terms of a John Harbaugh, that's what he's challenging him, challenging him to be like, don't be that
15:26all hype running back.
15:27Like be that guy.
15:28I've coached guys before, so if you're going to take control of this offense, this is going to be yours,
15:34then I need runs.
15:36Paul, we got to address, or can you address any of the chatter that may be for the Giants, maybe
15:43possibly in the trade market at the trade deadline for running back?
15:48There's some names thrown out there.
15:50Have you heard anything on your end?
15:55Well, what I've heard is that John, that the Colts are not in sell mode right now.
16:00They're not, you know, they fired their general manager and they're in a wait and see mode.
16:04The owner is kind of waiting to see how they do before the trade deadline to see if they're going
16:09to be in sell mode or not.
16:10I know, you know, Jonathan Taylor is a guy whose name is, you know, he's, he's a tremendous running back.
16:15You know, I, you know, remember following him when he was a freshman at Wisconsin, because my son was a
16:19freshman at Wisconsin.
16:20It was like, uh, who's this guy from South Jersey who's running for 180 yards every game, you know, as
16:26a true freshman.
16:27Um, so, um, look, that would be a monster, you know, and a quick Nelson, the guard, you know, there's
16:33talk about, you know, well, the Colts are going to sell off their, their pro bowl guard and they're going
16:38to sell off maybe their, their, their, you know, uh, pro bowl running back.
16:44Um, you know, we'll see about that.
16:47You know, here's one thing, you know, ordinarily I would kind of say, you know what, Brandon, I don't believe
16:53it.
16:53I'm not really, I'm not really in, you know, I don't think that's going to happen, but you know, with
16:57John Harbaugh and with this year, I'm not going to say no to anything, you know, not no to anything.
17:03I mean, they're not going to go crazy, but, um, I'm not going to, you know, John Harbaugh, if they
17:07don't play well this week and the running backs don't do anything and they go into the bye week, I'm
17:11not going to say to you, oh no, they're going to fix it.
17:13You know, John Harbaugh may say, find me a running back somewhere, you know, find me a running back.
17:18I mean, I'm not, uh, you know, the guard is a little different, I think, but, um, you know, I,
17:23I just think you can't discount anything right now because, um, he doesn't want to screw up the season.
17:29Like I said, if they lose this game, they're three, three and one.
17:32And they, you know, at the very least they're a half a game in first place.
17:35Now, look, it's a very tenuous hold.
17:38I'm sure about that, but, um, you know, I'm not expecting them to be in first place the rest of
17:43this year here.
17:43Um, but, um, I think that you can't discount anything, but, um, that would, that would be something, but you
17:51know what, the, the, the, this is not a ready-made offensive line.
17:54This offensive line has played more, not as well as I thought they would play at the start of the
18:00year, you know, uh, against the Cowboys, they dominated up front and they just, the Giants defense didn't stop the
18:06Cowboys.
18:07They didn't let them have the ball, right?
18:09The Cowboys had two possessions in the second half and scored touchdowns on both of them.
18:14That wasn't great defense.
18:15That was offense saying it's all ball and you can't play with it.
18:19So, um, the offensive line has not looked like that since.
18:25You wonder how to the flip to the defensive side of the football, um, traders, Paul, Dart Wilson kind of
18:33broke it down.
18:33Uh, I know from a, from a player's standpoint, I don't think it was so much of a, a call
18:38out, but I mean, you're, you, I want to hear from your perspective.
18:43If the headline, what would your headline be for the post for what, you know, what coach Wilson said about
18:49traders?
18:52Well, look, I mean, uh, uh, coaches choose their words, right?
18:55You know, these aren't middle schoolers, you know, coaches, uh, you know, Denard Wilson speaks to the, uh, media once
19:01a week on Thursday.
19:02So he chooses his words.
19:04It's not, you know, after the game in the heat of the moment.
19:06And when, you know, we, you know, you know, as an athlete, a former athlete, right.
19:11Words like embarrassed.
19:13Right.
19:14I was embarrassed.
19:15We should be embarrassed.
19:17That's a whoa.
19:17You know, people like me get to be whoa, embarrassed.
19:20Um, quit.
19:22We quit.
19:23Whoa.
19:24Quits.
19:24Yeah.
19:24Quit.
19:25I mean, trader is a new one.
19:26Trader is a new one.
19:27Now I know what he's saying.
19:28He's not saying that, that we have guys on our defense who.
19:33Defected to the other side.
19:35You know what I mean?
19:35That's what a trader is.
19:36We have guys in our defense who really were working for the saints on Sunday.
19:42I, he's talking about the effort, right?
19:44Your, your, your effort was traitorous.
19:46Here's what he said.
19:47He said, I look at guys that do not run to the ball.
19:52And I call them traitors because they are traitors to the defense.
19:56Um, I know what he's saying is, look, there's 11 of us out there.
20:00And if nine of us are running to the ball and two aren't, you are letting us down.
20:07You have let us down.
20:08You're a traitor to our cause.
20:10I get that.
20:11Now he didn't mention names, but the one play that stands it out was the Alvin Kamara.
20:15Um, you know, kind of, you know, juke and jive through the whole defense.
20:19You know, I saw Jason Pinnock and, and Javon Holland, the two safeties, you know, not exactly
20:26look like they were pursuing like their, their, you know, their heads were on fire.
20:31Sometimes that's an angle thing.
20:33Sometimes it's an effort thing.
20:34Sometimes, you know, you gotta be careful with that.
20:37He gave up on that play.
20:38He gave up on that play.
20:39So I'm sure something in that play did not, you know, Denard Wilson did not like, and
20:44you know, I liked that he said, you know, okay, it's easy to call them out.
20:48What do we do about it?
20:49He said, either you have to make adjustment to get them off the field and put somebody else
20:55in or correct their behavior.
20:57That's strong.
20:58That's wrong.
20:59Okay.
20:59You know, if you can't, if you can't run to the ball, either I can try to fix it and
21:04we
21:04can help you give better effort or you're out and someone else is in.
21:09And he made a promise to Denard Wilson.
21:11He said this week, we will be flying around a hundred miles an hour with their hair on
21:17fire.
21:18Okay.
21:19He put that out there.
21:20Let's see on Sunday if they're doing that.
21:23Cause you know, he has to be prideful on this one.
21:26This is one of those games where it shows you, or it ranks you throughout the course of
21:31the NFL as a defensive coordinator.
21:33Are you that Robert Sala, that D'Amico Ryan's tight that can have so strong of a defense
21:39that you now get, you're in the bus for a head coaching job, or at least the conversation
21:45in the off season.
21:46You know, if, if you, how all the coaches, they obviously usually offensive coordinators,
21:52all the head coaches, we talk about that when it comes to the hiring cycle, how the
21:55offensive coordinators have the easier path to become a head coach.
22:01But when you look at the Robert Sala's, you look at the D'Amico Ryan's and the guys that
22:07have gone on to be D coordinators and then head coaches.
22:10Now this is Denard Wilson's chance.
22:12And I say that because, I mean, everyone's playing for something and I know we're playing
22:16as a team and all right now, but this is one of those moments where I feel like that
22:21defense understands no disrespect.
22:25And you can say it in the, in the team defensive room, if you want to, and you can say
22:30like
22:30no disrespect, but you have either Jameis Winston or JJ McCarthy as your quarterbacks, fellas,
22:38some games, they may be able to get you 28 plus some, that offense is going to struggle
22:43that ball.
22:44There's going to be sudden change situations where you're just going to sit down, take
22:49your helmet off, unsnap it, and then have to put it right back on and go straight out
22:53there and hold them to not even, yes, early in the game, it's three, but later in the
22:58game, because now there's so much riding at the, there's so much pressure at the point
23:02of this game, because maybe the offense wasn't there yet.
23:05You can't even give up three.
23:07You got to get some sort of stop here or force of turnover.
23:10So this could be that moment.
23:12And this is, I feel like that's what that message is to this defense, telling this defense
23:16we're going to win games is going to come through us, burn the boats.
23:19If you're sure about how good we can be, if y'all want to be top 10.
23:22Then burn the boats.
23:24But I feel like this is have to, this has to be that week.
23:27Obviously we talked about stopping the run and now we just talked about it with so much
23:31to where it's like when it's, it's hard watching Giants football because even a five yard run,
23:36you still get mad.
23:37You know, it can still put them in the second and five that gets incomplete.
23:41It's third and five, uh, incomplete again.
23:43And it gets them all, they still get off the field that drive, but any plus run when you're
23:49watching, come on, run defense, come on.
23:51Like, so it's, it's hard.
23:52I watched that run defense on edge, but what I would like to see this game, this secondary
23:58safeties and corners involved, y'all got to go get two.
24:01You got to go tax CJ for two.
24:03There's no state taxes in Texas, but you got to tax CJ's child for two turnovers, two picks.
24:09You know, so this is going to be one of those games, uh, I feel like, but I feel like
24:13Denaro
24:14Wilson, that's that rally cry.
24:16I took it as a rally cry to try and get the guys going, um, to get on the right
24:20foot for
24:20this Texans game.
24:22Paul, you leave Saturday afternoon down, make sure you bring back some barbecue or at least
24:26try some barbecue while you're down there.
24:29Uh, final thoughts going into Sunday.
24:32Yeah, look, I mean, remember what Tom Coughlin used to do?
24:35Sometimes he would go like this, like, let's go, let's go.
24:38You know what I mean?
24:39Um, yeah.
24:40Uh, you know, uh, the, the special teams coordinator, Chris Horton said he's embarrassed that they
24:45had 10 men on the field, you know, three times a season, including once last week.
24:48Let's go pick that up.
24:50Right.
24:51Um, um, you know, the two offensive tackles are both banged up.
24:54Jermaine Illuminor and Andrew Thomas.
24:56I think they'll play, but they're banged up.
24:58You know, they're barely practicing this week.
25:00Oh, by the way, Willie Anderson leads the league in with seven and a half sacks.
25:04He's great.
25:05Danielle Hunter has three sacks.
25:08They have 18 sacks as a team that's tied for third.
25:11Let's go.
25:12Let's pick it up.
25:13Let's help JJ stay on his feet.
25:14Right.
25:15Um, looks like Greg Newsome is, uh, you know, concussion.
25:18You know, I don't know if he's going to play or not.
25:20So you have Colton hood coming back, Paulson Adebo, right?
25:23He's supposed to be, you know, he's their highest paid cornerback.
25:27He was their big, you know, free agent addition last year.
25:30He played in one game, hurt his knee.
25:32He lost his starting job because he didn't do much in the summer.
25:35He's back.
25:36Paulson Adebo off IO.
25:38Let's go.
25:39You know, let's go.
25:40That's what they need here.
25:41Um, the Texans are two and four and I, you know, I don't like to say, oh, let's throw
25:45the records out, throw the record out.
25:47They're good.
25:48You know, they, they lost some, some bad games to some good teams.
25:52They were oh and four.
25:54They're two and four.
25:54They're playing at home.
25:56The giants are 10 and a half point underdogs.
25:58Okay.
25:59So by far the biggest spread of the week, the giants are three, two and one, the Texans
26:04are two and four and the giants are, are, are double digit underdogs.
26:09That means people are out there going like this.
26:12We don't think they're any good.
26:13We don't care if it's Jamis or JJ or, you know, we don't care who's playing quarterback.
26:19The Texans are, are, are, the Texans are going to, are going to, you know, are going to destroy
26:23them.
26:24So let's see, you know, I mean, it's a very hard game.
26:26Um, I think it would shock.
26:29Almost everybody, if the giants one, um, new beginning for a new quarterback here, JJ looked
26:35like a, you know, he's a, looked like a kid anyway, you know, he's a kid.
26:38He's looks excited as anything.
26:40Um, you know, it's been a world, he said a world when it's an incredible world when
26:45for JJ McCarthy, you know, with not long ago, he was here in his name is the 10th to pick
26:49in the draft.
26:50Then he missed his whole rookie year.
26:51That's very tough.
26:52And then he went from playing to being the second string.
26:55Uh, he comes in this year, your third string, man, you know, we have no use for you.
26:59And then they trade them to the giants.
27:01So, um, you know, JJ cam, uh, everybody let's go be very, very interesting.
27:08Uh, Sunday in Houston.
27:11All right.
27:12Well, appreciate you guys watching another episode of blue rush preview show for the
27:16New York post sports.
27:17We'll catch you guys on Monday after the game for a little, uh, after further review type
27:22thoughts and storylines from this game, uh, Paul, they got to go down to get it.
27:26They have to go.
27:27You got to go take this game.
27:28You had this one of those games where it's like, that's why you call it.
27:31That's why you say traders or, or traders, because if you're, if you're not involved with
27:36what we have going on here in terms of us against the world, you're traders, you're
27:42traders, they're going to have to burn the boats.
27:44Uh, thank you guys for watching another episode of blue rush.
27:49Yeah.
