00:00It doesn't get bigger than this to start a NFL season.
00:03In 125 days, we're going to see two of the most historic franchises in NFL history.
00:09Two fan bases who can't absolutely stand each other.
00:13And it's all happening week one on a prime time stage.
00:16The Giants are hosting the Cowboys on Sunday night football again.
00:21And there are all types of storylines that we're going to be talking about going into this game.
00:25But there are none as big as what is this team going to look like out the gate under prime
00:31time John Harbaugh.
00:32You don't get a prime time game to start the season after only winning four games the previous year.
00:38Unless the NFL thinks that you'll be the most surprising team in the league next season.
00:43And that only happens when you hire a coach that can come in and get the most out of an
00:48untapped roster of talent.
00:50Just think of what a Giants win would mean to the official start of the Harbaugh era.
00:57So far under the unofficial Harbaugh era, this man has done everything right.
01:02And he's shown that he is the $20 million a year coach that can come in and bring stability to
01:09the franchise.
01:10And that's not me Harbaugh glazing because he's made moves that the entire franchise, the entire fan base, and the
01:18media have been on the same page with.
01:21Like re-signing players of value like Jermaine Illuminor and Micah McFadden.
01:25He's upgraded the roster with free agents like Isaiah Likely, Patrick Ricard, and Jordan Stout.
01:31And then he brought in three former head coaches to run the offense and to get the most out of
01:36Jackson Dart going into his second year.
01:39And a DC in Denard Wilson to fix the defense.
01:42Oh, and did I forget to mention, he got three potential day one starters in the draft in rounds one
01:49and two.
01:49Two starters for sure in Arvel Reese and CeCe Malinoa.
01:53And it'll only be a matter of time, I feel like, until Colton Hood takes over as a starter in
01:58the secondary.
01:59But John Harbaugh, yes, he is the headliner.
02:02But this one's got a lot more primetime storylines to it as well.
02:06Jackson Dart and Cam Scadaboo going into their second year.
02:10The Giants facing Caleb Downs after passing up on him twice in the top 10 of the NFL draft.
02:16And is Malik Nabors even going to be healthy enough to go up against Caleb Downs after what was said
02:22on the live stream?
02:23The biggest storyline, though, and I think everyone will agree with me on this one, is the Giants fans are
02:30just tired of being the Cowboys' little brother on opening day.
02:34Dallas has absolutely dominated this opening day rivalry, going 10-1 against the Giants in week one openers.
02:40They're 6-1 at home, and then they're 4-0 when the game is played in New York or New
02:45Jersey.
02:46Doesn't matter.
02:47They're just used to getting thrashed.
02:48And no one within this franchise, fan base, media, around the league is ever going to forget the time, the
02:56last time they played and met in week one.
02:59And that was in 2023 when the Giants lost 40-0 at MetLife Stadium in one of the most lopsided
03:07and embarrassing opening day losses in franchise history.
03:11I know.
03:12So, I was the in-game emcee there, and my day was cut short by the end of the third
03:16quarter.
03:17And then I saw Dallas fans take over MetLife Stadium like Knicks fans just took over the 76ers arena in
03:24the suite.
03:25This one ain't just a primetime game, y'all.
03:28This one's personal.
