00:00Browns-Titans on Sunday. Have you heard about this? Have you seen about this? Mary Kay Cabot
00:04was on with the Morning Boys earlier today and talked about the pressure on the Browns to beat
00:08the Titans. I think it's a lot. I really do. Because you have to remember, they're going to
00:13Pittsburgh after this. This kicks off a three-game road string. So you want to take this one. This is
00:19a game they absolutely should win, and they need to win. So I think the pressure is on.
00:24So I struggle with the idea that the pressure is on the Browns. There's automatically
00:29a certain amount of pressure that is just there on any given week. And if you have
00:35lost a couple games recently or lost a game, there's probably a little bit more pressure.
00:39There's always pressure, though, to strive, to advance, to get better. But I don't know
00:48how much pressure is on this game. If ESPN is saying it's a coin toss, if most people
00:55nationally are just not paying attention to it, because it's the Browns versus specifically
01:01the Titans, I don't know how much pressure there is versus some of the other games they've
01:06already played this year, like the Ravens game or the Bucs game.
01:08I guess it depends on what you care the most about, right? For us and what we do, if you
01:13lose to the Titans, that's really tough. Jets and then Titans, that's really tough to overcome.
01:19From an optics standpoint, yeah, you can have a win against the Steelers, and you can beat
01:23the Ravens without Lamar Jackson. That's fine. That's nice. But the optics of losing to the
01:27Jets and then also losing to the Titans is really bad.
01:30But do you think in that locker room, they're going to themselves and being like, guys, we
01:33can't lose to the Titans because we just lost to the Jets two weeks ago.
01:36That's where I think it's interesting, is that I don't know what they do and don't pay
01:39attention to. I tend to think more of them than not, they just don't pay attention to it.
01:43But Munkin has not been shy about bringing all this bulletin board material into their
01:46locker room. So I really don't know that answer right now.
01:49Yeah. Like I, I, like Browns is the Browns got really under their skin, apparently.
01:53So I think the pressure, if there's pressure on this game or on the Browns right now,
01:58I, and I don't feel it. And then I, and I try to go out of my way to dispute
02:03it. But
02:03if there is pressure, they might be feeling the pressure being called frauds by everyone.
02:07And that's what comes though. But I don't think that's specific to the Titans.
02:11But I do think it is though. Like if you lose to the Titans and then we're going over what
02:15I just discussed where you're not hitting the three foot putts, the gimme's aren't
02:18there. Yeah. People are going to be already on fraud alert with this team. It's only going
02:22to get amplified. And I'm not saying it even goes away. If you win the Titans, if you beat
02:26the Titans, like that's the hard part about this, you can take care of Tennessee and make
02:30Cam Ward look as bad as he's looked. And the convo is still going to be Browns are on fraud
02:34alert at five and two, Nick, two, one, six, four, seven, four, double O nine, two, the two,
02:39how much pressure is, is, it felt very badone. Yeah. I wasn't going to say it, but it didn't
02:47even crack. My voice didn't even, it wasn't like a Peter Brady type thing. It just, it
02:50just got up there. It worked. How much pressure is on the Browns on Sunday against the Titans?
02:55Um, again, there is pressure and this is a game. I really love the way McFadden said
03:00it. Brian McFadden on CBS sports earlier this week of it's a gotta have game because it opens
03:06up too many questions if you lose to the Titans specifically two weeks after losing to the
03:10Jets. But I really, I mean, I think, you know, I got really frustrated going into the Jets
03:16game when the Browns were three and one, I got really frustrated by the fact that on every
03:22podcast I listened to nationally, none of the big pundits were talking about the Browns
03:27game. It was a, it was a Passover, right? Um, and I feel like this game is going to be
03:32the
03:32same. You'll probably get that this week too. Yeah. So like it's it, I, I hate games
03:36where it feels like there's everything to lose and very little to gain because I feel
03:42like that's getting back. I know it's, I hate using fair because we're adults. They're
03:47millionaires. They're highly paid athletes. Life isn't fair, right? Life isn't fair for
03:52the plumber who lives paycheck to paycheck. If this is as unfair as it gets for athletes,
03:56it'll be fine. But I also think it's unfair of us as fans to be like, you better not lose.
04:01Of course you won savvy. I mean, I understand what you're saying. I just, I don't know the
04:07ripple effects of losing to the Titans and what it does to the locker room. I think for
04:11the locker room, you'd have to, as many nice wins or whatever wins you want to talk about
04:15it. If you lose to some of these bad teams and consistently lose to these bad teams, that's
04:18got to seep in, doesn't it? Is that, does that reality? Not if it's two games. Like if you
04:25do it for like, I'm thinking like 12 of the 13 weeks, if you're 13 weeks in the season
04:31and you've lost like four of these games. Well, so that's the beauty of it being this
04:34early in the year. And it still is this early in the year, even though we've only played
04:38six games is that you can recover from any of it. You don't have to let any of this define
04:42you in any sort of way. How much pressure is on the Browns on Sunday to beat the Titans?
04:47Jackson and Parma Heights. Welcome to the show. Hey, how are you? Doing all right, buddy.
04:52What you got for us? Okay. So I am, I think that we have immense pressure against this
04:59immense and I am getting sick and tired of seeing Deshaun Watson out there just playing
05:08enough for us to win. How many years has the Browns had a great defense and we didn't have
05:14a quarterback or an offense that just can't get the wins. I'm sick of seeing it. I want
05:19to see Deshaun come out there. I want to see a good quarterback for our offense, not
05:24just a quarterback that's three and out, three and out, three and out. Oh, we get a good
05:29drive. We, we, you know, we go down and we score. I want to see us really dominate this
05:34game. Jackson, may I push back on you? May I push back on you, my friend?
05:39Um, here's the thing they're winning. So like the, I echo your frustration that it has been
05:48frustrating when they've wasted good defenses. They're not wasting good defenses this year
05:53because they're four and two. So like this isn't the same as last year where the offense
05:57was unplayable and you were losing so many games that were right there and winnable or
06:02one score game. Certainly two years ago when you were a three win team and we walked into
06:05that season thinking they were going to be Superbowl contenders. I, I, I hear what you're
06:10saying. Eventually Deshaun will have to play better, but like they're winning games. You
06:15can't be wasting this defense if you're winning these games. Jackson, correct me if I'm wrong,
06:19but I feel like you, what you're expressing here is you're worried about the future games
06:22here. You're worried about the games that, that, there we go. Yeah. If we, if we can't
06:27dominate against a team that is just terrible, I I'm, I'm worried about our future games.
06:33I, I understand that we did beat the Ravens, but it was without Lamar. We, we also beat
06:38the Steelers and they had a tough game and both of those games, it was a nail biter till
06:43the end. Yeah. I just, I, I know you want a pretty win Jackson. How many, how many wins
06:48do you think they'd have before the season, by the way? What was like your preseason prediction?
06:53Yeah, you got me there, Nick. Definitely thought we were going to, I thought it was a four
06:57win, four win season. So far you're right. Yeah. If they lose out, you're done on the money.
07:03Yeah. Um, I just, so I, I, I guess where, where my head is, they are foreign to, I'm just
07:10not getting swept up in how real this is because I don't really have to, I don't have to start
07:15worrying about that until they show, but I still, they start losing these games consistently.
07:20Right. Yeah, absolutely. Jackson, we appreciate you, buddy. Thank you, sir. I appreciate it. Yeah.
07:27I feel like, I feel like we really get to, uh, to part as friends there. All right. It's
07:32not like the, yeah, absolutely. At the end was him being like, all right, fine. I died. Okay. I just
07:37want to end the convo now. That is how a fair amount of conversations with you or I go. That's
07:41what it sounded like to me. I don't know. It's just like, the guy, you beat me down enough.
07:44Most of the time. So the development of you and I now going on year three of the show is
07:49we, we have realized that eventually once the mics go off, most of the time we, that's
07:54where the, the, the, the disagreement stops like 99.9% of the time. Yeah. Once, uh, every
08:00couple of weeks, one of us will be like, well, but here's the thing. And you can tell the
08:05other one is just like, well, no, the mics went off. So we stopped the debate. Usually
08:10that's you. You're like the mic went off or done here. And I'm like, no, I need you to know
08:13this. It doesn't matter. None of it matters. I understand. It doesn't matter, but I need you
08:18to know this. My brain needs you to know that, you know, this.
