00:00So these are the visuals that we're getting right outside from the lunch venue where all the opposition MPs were

00:06And shortly we are being told that Rahul Gandhi is likely to address the media which is present there.
00:12So you can see there are various cops, the RAF and clearly police personnel also standing there.
00:18Heavy police presence, KC Venagopal also walking in right now.
00:21And these are the visuals that we're getting in from the lunch venue where they just wrapped up this lunch
00:27and all the opposition MPs are now exiting from the venue.
00:32Manoj Jha, they're also stepping out along with Khadge, along with Priyanka Gandhi.
00:37All of them are likely to address the media in a short while.
00:40From what we can also see is that they're getting on the bus that was stationed outside the lunch venue.
00:47So now Rahul Gandhi in fact is confirming that the Jantar Mantar flash protest is going to happen.
00:54So Jantar Mantar which is only very close to, it's just a walking distance from Sagar Ratna where you have
01:00to just cross the road and then you reach Jantar Mantar.
01:03So it's just a walking distance from their lunch venue right now.
01:06Rahul Gandhi is confirming that the flash protest will happen.
01:10He's also there speaking to the media.
01:12Manoj Jha is there.
01:13Priyanka Gandhi is right behind him.
01:14So these are the visuals after the opposition MPs have wrapped up their lunch.
01:18And it seems they have all decided now to go ahead with their flash protest as well.
01:24And now they're going to attempt and go to Jantar Mantar.
01:26But remember the barricading that we saw in the morning.
01:29So there's heavy police personnel.
01:30They'd already gotten an inkling that there could be a protest of some sorts.
01:35And the Delhi police was already on standby.
01:37The RAF is there.
01:38There's heavy barricading.
01:40And the barricading has been up until the right outside till where the Janpat metro is, which is also a
01:46way to the entrance to the Jantar Mantar road.
01:50So all of that area is still blockaded.
01:53So we will possibly see scenes of detention of these opposition MPs as well.
01:58But there is heavy police presence in the area.
02:01Police was already on standby.
02:03They'd said that in case any action happens, they will kick in.
02:06And then they will possibly do detentions and they will take their action as well.
02:11So far, opposition MPs were sitting inside their lunch venue.
02:15And therein they decided to draft a letter wherein they were seeking a meeting with the election commissions.
02:21So now let me go back to Shriya Kundu who's on the ground and who's been tracking the story for
02:25us.
02:25Shriya, now we're getting the visuals of Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, all the opposition MPs right outside the venue.
02:31And what it seems is that they're likely to hold a protest now.
02:34That has been confirmed now.
02:39So Jessica, I'm just going to move out of the frame and show you this bus right behind me as
02:44had been anticipated initially.
02:46All of the India Bloc members, including Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi currently are on this bus.
02:53All of the leaders have in fact got up on the bus and they are ready to proceed.
02:58But the question that remains is, amid heavy security and police deployments, where exactly are they headed?
03:05Are they headed to the election commission of India?
03:07Or like yesterday, that was their in fact end destination.
03:11But eventually they did take a detour and go to Akashbhani Bhavan.
03:17Today, that might be their end destination.
03:20Or for that matter, like we were telling our viewers a little while back, their end goal or their end
03:26destination rather could also be Jantar Mantar.
03:28But since Jantar Mantar is just a few kilometers away, now it could be that because of security reasons, they
03:34did not decide to march right from here to Jantar Mantar.
03:38But at this given point, what exactly is the end goal for today, end destination for today, that remains to
03:46be a question.
03:47But right now, right after finishing the luncheon that had been hosted by the Congress President Malik Arjun Khargi himself,
03:53Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Malik Arjun Khargi, along with the senior leaders of India Bloc Opposition Unity Alliance, came out
04:01and in fact spoke to the media.
04:03They again reiterated that they are strategizing on how to proceed with their entirety of the movement against the election
04:12commission and with their entire demand of the ouster of the chief election commissioner.
04:18They are going to proceed forward.
04:20What exactly?
04:21They haven't, however, had or announced a joint press conference yet.
04:24They just had a brief moment of solidarity because a lot of their supporters had in fact gathered here.
04:31So just to show solidarity with those very protesters, they came out to in fact just hoist the flag again
04:39amid them and then speak to them and reassure them that they are carrying forward the movement.
04:45They are still on the path to demand for Gyanesh Kumar's resignation and further strategizing on that very aspect itself
04:53is currently in the making.
04:56As we speak, there are more police officers coming in at this given point.
04:59As I speak, security deployment is at its very peak and I will request my camera person, Sanjay Kumar, to
05:08pan the camera and show all of these visuals.
05:11As we see top police officials now arriving at the very location to gather a sense of what exactly is
05:19it that the politicians have planned.
05:21All of these, remember, are high profile members of parliament that are on that very bus that we are consistently
05:27showing you in our frame.
05:28What exactly will they be doing next?
05:31Where will they be going?
05:32That is the question.
05:33All of the security personnel, all of the media personnel here, they are all consistently mounting these questions.
05:40But they have one chant in unity, which is the ouster of the CEC and that they will continue with
05:50their protest, they will continue with their demand.
05:52And what it seems like now is what we were anticipating earlier, that is a flash protest by all of
05:58these members of the India bloc that had gathered for the luncheon at Sagar Ratna.

06:05Right. So, what we are also picking up, Shreya, is that Rahul Gandhi has confirmed that they are, in fact,
06:10planning to go to the designated protest site at Jantar Mantar.
06:14So, Shreya, we've seen the bus in which all the opposition MPs are also present at the moment.
06:18All the roads seem to be blocked.
06:20So, it's really a question of how they will also get to Jantar Mantar, given there's heavy police presence there.
06:25But Rahul Gandhi says that they are now going to the designated protest site, which is Jantar Mantar today,
06:30as they were stopped from meeting the CEC yesterday.
06:33The police has stopped us yesterday from moving ahead, he says.
06:37He's saying that they're not afraid of FIRs and he has 45 against and the target is 100, in fact,
06:44he says.
06:44And he's saying that he's repeating his allegations against the CEC, Prime Minister Modi and Amit Shah as well.
06:50So, now we're seeing that the opposition MPs, right after the lunch, they have decided to move towards the designated
06:55protest site of Jantar Mantar.
06:57But the area is heavily barricaded, there's heavy police presence on the road.
07:01And we've seen that this whole area, in fact, Jantar Mantar, the protest site, has been barricaded since a long
07:07time,
07:07since the call for protests have been called on by the CGP as well.
07:11But now we're seeing that the opposition MPs are saying they're not afraid of detentions anymore.
07:16And Rahul Kathi says he already has 45 FIRs against him and he's not scared of anymore.
07:22In fact, he goes on to say that his target is 100 FIRs.
07:26So, he's now saying that since they were stopped yesterday from moving towards the ECI and meeting him,
07:33now they're going to attempt to go and meet the ECI.
07:36They are going to launch another protest today at Jantar Mantar.
07:39Now, till yesterday, ECI had said that until 4 p.m. they hadn't gotten any request from the opposition MPs
07:46to meet.
07:47But now let's quickly listen in to the Congress MP Khadge also speaking again.
07:52Let's try and listen to what he's saying.
08:25Let's go back to the ground where Shriya is with us.
08:28Shriya, now we're also getting the visuals of Rahul Gandhi, Khadge, Manojha still outside the venue.
08:33Are they possibly trying to interact with the media?
08:36What are they really, what is the kind of messaging that they're trying to put?
08:39Is it still confirmed that they are moving towards Jantar Mantar or has that plan of action changed or have
08:44they not revealed it?
08:45Because yesterday we saw that the initial plan of action was to go to ECI.
08:49But the plan to go to Akashwani was also not revealed to all the opposition MPs.
08:54And that was a sudden decision taken in by them.
08:57Now, we're seeing Derek O'Brien, Manoj Khadge, Khadge, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanga Gandhi all outside Sagar Ratna.
09:03What is the kind of message that they are trying to give from there right now?
09:11So, Jessica, as I speak, as I mentioned earlier, the bus that all of the leaders are currently in is
09:19right behind me.
09:21All of the leaders, the top high profile leaders, that is Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, all of them currently are
09:27on that bus.
09:27And a little while back, as we played on our channels itself, the statement or rather the reaction that Rahul
09:34Gandhi just issued with regards to how they will continue with their protests.
09:38Now, it's a little difficult to right now determine whether this was a planned protest or whether this is something
09:45that has been strategized at the very Sagar Ratna restaurant while they were having the luncheon.
09:50But as I'm speaking, viewers, let me quickly show you the heavy deployment of police here.
09:56Now, whether the police is here to detain all of them or not, allow them to leave this very destination
10:02itself in the bus.
10:03Because till now, it's almost been 5-10 minutes, let me tell you, the bus has not moved at all.
10:09It's still stuck at the same place.
10:10And there were some high cops, high official cops who had come in and they were trying to negotiate with
10:16the leaders itself with regards to how they'll proceed.
10:19Now, we're seeing at this given point, some of the leaders are also trying to get off the bus,
10:24whether they will finally be trying to walk to the very protest site at Jantar Mantar or whether they will
10:30proceed to take the bus.
10:31That remains to be a question.
