Opposition INDIA bloc Members of Parliament from both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha hit the streets of Delhi on the second consecutive day of protests against Chief Election Commissioner Ganesh Kumar. Demonstrators, including key leaders such as Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Derek O'Brien, and Mahua Moitra, boarded multiple buses holding placards against alleged vote chori and compromised election processes. The demonstration followed a strategic lunch meeting at Sagar Ratna where leaders gathered to draft a communication to the Election Commission of India. Opposition parties have raised three key demands: the immediate removal of Chief Election Commissioner Ganesh Kumar, the suspension of the ongoing SIR exercise, and conducting future elections via ballot papers. Simultaneously, National Students' Union of India members gathered near the Janpath and Jantar Mantar area, initiating slogans alongside the march. In response, Delhi Police, Rapid Action Force, and Central Reserve Police Force personnel stepped up deployments and prepared detention buses amid prohibitory orders across the capital.

00:00We're seeing this bus filled with MPs now heading towards maybe the Jantar Mantar.
00:04They're all holding up posters of Vote Chori chanting Rahul Gandhi's name.
00:08We also have Rahul Kautam who's been tracking this.
00:10Rahul, what are you picking up? Where are you stationed at?
00:13And where is the bus full of MPs heading towards?
00:20Well, at this point of time, it seems that they are heading towards Jantar Mantar.
00:24And I'll just show you some of the visuals of what really happening on Ground Zero.
00:28So there you can see Priyanka Gandhi Wadra waving towards supporters.
00:33This is second day of ongoing protest led by opposition parties against E.C. Gyanesh Kumar.
00:39There you can see Malik Arjun Kargay as well, who's flashing a playcard or poster that says no Vote Chori,
00:46no Democracy Chori.
00:47Then you have Rahul Gandhi as well sitting just alongside Priyanka Gandhi, I beg your partner, Malik Arjun Kargay.
00:54And then there are other MPs as well of Congress party, of opposition parties who are there.
01:01Reduka Chaudhary is there.
01:03Amrinder Raja Amrindar Singh's wedding is there.
01:05So it seems that it's day two of the ongoing protest and it seems that the opposition leaders have again
01:12hit the streets.
01:13Rahul Gandhi was speaking with media, said that we're going to Jantar Mantar, you know, to mark our protest against
01:20C.A.C. Gyanesh Kumar.
01:21And obviously we all know that how the opposition is upping the ante against C.A.C.
01:26They've been, you know, they've been trying to increase the temperature against C.A.C., seeking his resignation, seeking immediate
01:33suspension of ongoing exercise of S.A.C.
01:36And that's why.
01:37And yesterday we saw, you know, a whole lot of opposition India bloc coming together while Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka
01:44Gandhi, they were leading the march against, you know, C.A.C.
01:48So clearly it seems that the opposition is completely charged.
01:52They are just not impressed or not convinced with the clarification which has been coming in from the chief election
01:58commissioner.
01:59They are saying that it is happening at the behest of the BJP, this alleged vote story that is happening.
02:05And it seems that the election commission is also compromised.
02:09And, you know, and they're also sort of made the issue of C.A.C., the issue of vote story
02:16a rallying point for all opposition parties.
02:18And that's why you see a completely united opposition yesterday coming together on the streets of the national capital.
02:25And today also, remember, you know, earlier there was this message that Malika Arjun Kargai is going to host all
02:32the India bloc MPs for lunch.
02:34But we had a sense that, given the fact that yesterday only they had a very boisterous protest in the
02:40national capital.
02:41So there was a sense that they might again hit the streets as they are hitting right now.
02:45I'll just show you some live visuals there.
02:48There are three buses which are completely, you know, filled or absolutely full with Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha MPs from
02:56various political outfits.
02:58I can see Derek O'Brien is there.
03:01Then there are, you know, leaders from other political parties as well, from CPI, CPM.
03:06And the idea is to send a strong message that the opposition is united.
03:10I'll just ask my camera person to just show you that what's really happening.
03:13These are the cavalcade, these are the cars of the cavalcade of Rahul Gandhi and Pringha Gandhi who are following
03:18the same bus on which Rahul Gandhi and Pringha Gandhi are traveling at this point of time.
03:25There are multiple buses that have been placed in here by Delhi police as well to detain these MPs and
03:31these leaders.
03:32If at all, they're going to stage a protest anywhere in the national capital given the fact that their probability
03:41orders have already in place in the national capital.
03:44So assembling is not really allowed in this part of Delhi.
03:48And that's why, as we saw yesterday, Rahul Gandhi and Pringha Gandhi getting detained.
03:54It seems that today also we're going to see some similar scenes given the fact that, again, the opposition is
04:00out on the streets.
04:01Not just Congress Party, but also Congress is getting support from many other political outfits that are part of India
04:08Bloc.
04:09In a way, one can say that opposition is on warpath against Chief Election Commissioner and it seems that they're
04:15not going to relent until their three demands are met.
04:18A. Mr. Gyanesh Kumar should be removed from his post.
04:21B. Immediate suspension of ongoing SIR exercise.
04:24And three, the election should be conducted via ballot papers.
04:27Rahul keep tracking that for us as we're looking at the MPs are now going towards Jantan Mantar where they're
04:33likely to stage a protest as well.
04:34And as soon as they do that, the Delhi police is also ready.
04:37They have their buses with them and they are going to detain the protesters as well.
04:40Let me go back to Shriya, who's also there.
04:42Shriya, what is it that you're picking up from there?
04:44We're seeing that all the MPs, any also any details from what would have really happened inside that meeting.
04:49We know they were all there to write and draft a letter to the ECI.
04:53Now, yesterday the ECI said they did not receive any requests from them.
04:56Now, today all these MPs are there.
04:58They said they met there to draft a letter.
05:00And of course, they also discussed that they would do this possible flash protest.
05:03Any details of what would have happened inside that lunch meeting, the result of which we're seeing now happening outside?
05:14You know, Jessica, as I speak, I'll just move out from the background.
05:18Look at this bus.
05:20All of the political leaders of the India bloc in it together.
05:26And they all have their posters ready.
05:28They all have their slogans ready.
05:30They seem to have had a very, very fruitful meeting at Sagar Ratna because there is a sense of unity
05:38amongst all of them being led by the senior leaders,
05:42senior members of the parliament of both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha as we speak.
05:46But at the same time, on the other side, if I can request my camera person to pan out, there
05:51are NSUI members that have also gathered here in high numbers.
05:56They are the ones who have, in fact, already begun sloganeering.
06:00They are the ones who have already launched a protest.
06:02Meanwhile, the MPs can be seen.
06:07I can also spot Mahua Moitra from here who was also attempting to enter Akash Vani Bhavan yesterday where Rahul
06:15Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi were.
06:18And all of these leaders have come in unison.
06:21They have a smile on their faces.
06:23Seems like they've had a very successful meeting.
06:26And they're currently on their way to another location.
06:30They've passed Jantar Mantar.
06:32But if I can show you the security deployment at Jantar Mantar, just the number of police personnel that's coming
06:39out from Jantar Mantar itself at this given point.
06:43And in fact, just once these police personnel pass, let me just take you towards Jantar Mantar, the protest site.
06:49You will be able to see how the RAF members have, in fact, come out to accumulate there.
06:56So they are all prepared that the politicians will be coming out to protest here itself.
07:00Just look at the numbers.
07:01In my background, this is the number of RAF officials, of police personnel, of CRP officials who have all gathered
07:09here in complete preparation.
07:12That if there is any untoward incident that even they get signs of, then they will jump to action.
07:21But for now, we see the buses.
07:23All of the three buses that we were discussing about, that has crossed this entire area of Jantar Mantar.
07:28So we are still anticipating where exactly will they be headed towards in the bus.
07:35Whether then they would be walking back, the NSUI members, along with, led by the political leaders itself, the members
07:41of the parliament on that bus.
07:42Whether they will walk up to this very area in protest.
07:47All of that, it's a highly tense and a highly charged environment that we see here at the junction Jantar
07:56Mantar and Janpat.
07:57Both of it, they have moved away from Jantar Mantar now, moving towards Jantar Mantar.
08:02And we are tracking them at this given point.
