01:50stuff well right now they're two and one and and uh things are going very very well right now
01:55everybody's excited they're they're blasting music during the stretching sessions everybody's bobbing
02:00their head having fun and uh it seems like things are really nice right now now it's only early in
02:05the season let's see if we can keep those those spirits high but uh jordan schultz was on the pivot
02:10podcast and this is where he said that todd munkin was telling uh deshaun watson and why there's been
02:19a little bit of a change here in the offense you know i've spoken to coach munkin and he truly
02:23is a
02:24believer in deshaun watson i feel like todd has brought back the belief into deshaun himself we've
02:30seen what he's been through i think what happened was todd sat down with deshaun he told him point blank
02:36you're my qb1 and what he told him was the way that you play and the way that we play
02:41collectively
02:42the fans will in turn respond i know a lot of people were critical when the browns hired this
02:4860 year old head coach and i understand why but i don't think people have realized the effect that
02:53todd has had on deshaun and in turn deshaun on todd there is a fast quick trust and friendship
03:00that has been developed there between a 60 year old guy and a 20 something year old guy or 30

03:06they are relating on a football level they're both football junkies that's the lengths coaching can
03:12have in the nfl i think if you have someone that truly believes in you the way that todd believes
03:17in deshaun it changes everything and they're just getting started they're two and one the defense
03:21played lights out against a really good carolina offense and i still think there's a lot of room for

03:59fourth quarter came around things got better uh in third in in this last game against carolina was
04:05not i mean 67 yards is not good 67 yards throwing and he was off and he was off and
04:10like he wasn't
04:11good they'll just call it what it was uh then the fourth quarter came around he made plays mary k
04:17said that he put them on his back put the browns on his shoulders or on his back and carried
04:21them to

04:27these first
04:28two games i just think i wonder are we getting a little flowery with the language here are we are
04:33we going on a little bit too far because it is it's early in the season i think we are

04:39sent the uh well i think john or somebody sent the uh the fraud meter i said like us and
04:46raiders and i
04:46think part of that's because of last year obviously it's because of last year's record and the team
04:50going into the season like things are great right now and i want to know and it's not about like
04:55are you are you worried deshaun watson's gonna turn into a pumpkin tonight what if he gets it done
05:01tonight can he win you over tonight yeah can he win you over against the pittsburgh stealers
05:05he already he already pulled off something that i gotta say going in i was very nervous about i think
05:13most were nervous about i think there were people in the browns building that had to if they were
05:19being honest have some truth serum they did not know how he was going to react to hearing sporadic
05:24booze they didn't know the level of booze and it wasn't as bad as i thought it was going to

05:28or it could be yeah thank goodness he had the performance against baker and the tampa bay
05:32buccaneers but he got through it and he had some rough moments in that game he even left the game
05:40after taking that hit and then should or sanders the guy who's gonna eventually you know take the job
05:46at least i think if you were to pull people they'd still say that and he came back in and
05:50then he
05:51pulled off the victory yeah so i think that already turned a bunch of fans because of all
05:57the different outcomes i don't know how many people thought they'd be chanting deshaun watson's name
06:03in the stadium and he was leaving the game almost to a hero's welcome like i don't think anybody saw
06:10that coming and so he's already turned a portion of the fan base you follow it up with a double

06:16two wins in what five days if he pulls that off and it's the steelers and it's a divisional game
06:22and they're three and one and we get to watch the weekend of football and and watch everything kind
06:28of develop yeah have this kind of start to your year i absolutely think he will have turned a bunch
06:34of people to one six four seven four double oh 92 could deshaun watson win you over tonight uh it's

06:39we have had a roller coaster of emotions things were nasty and honestly if you if you say no i'm

06:44going to run you off the air anything like that lineman's not going to run you off the air owen

06:48the the master and commander of the ship i don't know what he's going to do but well do we

06:52set aside the segment and it's not a small one but the segment of the fan base who refuses to
06:59acknowledge him as a brown they don't think he should be here because i'm still getting some of
07:05that like i'm not i'm done with the browns as long as he's there i can i can is there

07:09that can win them over i don't think there is i but i can respect their feelings they've been vocal
07:13and and within their peer group within their family within their neighborhood within their
07:19social media fair enough i if we can't if winning's not going to convince them and they're just
07:24not going to cheer for the browns until he's gone i'll say this like i respect their feelings but
07:29we're not going to have a conversation so it's just going to be like you hate him as a person

07:38and one okay he's quarterback of the football team all right and again the first i went into
07:45this season with a side eye i still am kind of like let's see where this goes after i just

07:56fans like hey man it is what it is i just want this team to win i've been mad at

08:02mad at this team for how they've done their business been mad at this team for how they've
08:06ruined picks baker the all the all the reasons we bring up every single day if you're three and
08:13one after the first month of the season like you're still in it and you're still you're you're one of
08:18the contending teams and if you win tonight you're you're the talk of the nfl like it's you and major
08:23league baseball playoffs and that's it that's it and you that if they win tonight you lead first take
08:28you obviously you lead here not only the first take you lead that lead everywhere not only the browns
08:32because they don't really care about the browns the headline is deshaun watson too and whether or
08:37not you believe that there could be whether it's a football redemption story a personal redemption
08:44story because you know what that's going to look like if he wins his teammates are going to be
08:49carrying him off the field damn near like they will have experienced a lot the fans the players have
08:56heard what the fans have said about deshaun watson they have stood by him throughout all of this like if
09:01you really if you really kind of get through all the noise and you listen to the players the players
09:07have not nearly had the problem with him that the fans have all right they're coming in 216-474-0092
