The first of three completed Joint Army/Police Posts opened this morning in Tarouba as the State of Emergency comes to an end.

Homeland Security Minister Roger Alexander attended the opening, while Commissioner of Police Allister Guevarro said the launch marks the next phase of the TTPS' anti-crime initiative.

The Commissioner also warned that detainees being released under Preventive Detention Orders today will be returning to a different policing environment.
