00:00Hello again. Most of us will see some rain in the next 12 hours or so. There's a weather front
00:05crossing the country.
00:06It's also going to bring fresher conditions. Quite a warm and humid feel on Monday ahead of this cold front.
00:12As it sinks its way southwards, it will be ushering away that slightly warmer air and bringing some rain as
00:19it does so.
00:20But also as it pushes southwards, it will tend to fizzle out.
00:23So if you're after rain across East Anglia in the southeast, you may not see a huge amount.
00:28But it will be introducing that cooler and fresher air as we go into Tuesday, but still ahead of it.
00:33Quite a warm night to come. A lot of cloud, a little bit of drizzly rain here and there.
00:37Some light showers really over Wales, southern England, but much of England and Wales dry until this main weather front
00:43pushes in.
00:44That'll bring some heavy bursts of rain, followed by lots of showery rain coming into western Scotland.
00:49Some heavy bursts of rain might even be woken up by the odd hailstorm as it moves through.
00:54There's the weather front come first thing in the morning and it marks that boundary between the warm air lingering
00:59across the south,
01:00where towns and cities may stay in the high teens, and something a little cooler further north with temperatures dipping
01:06down into the low teens here.
01:08Making for some wet starts across parts of northern England, Wales and the Midlands, southwest England on Tuesday morning.
01:15Slowly moving south, but as I said, also slowly tend to fizzle out.
01:20The showers don't fizzle out though, they keep coming in across northern and western parts of Scotland and for Northern
01:25Ireland through the morning.
01:26So some drier spells, but plenty of showers packing in here.
01:29As the weather front crosses east angle in the southeast, yes, it kind of fizzles out, but it could also
01:36generate one or two heavier showers for the afternoon, but they'll be very hit and miss.
01:39So generally not a lot of rain across the southeast.
01:43Some sunshine returning for most of England and Wales by the afternoon.
01:46In the northwest of the breeze, showers will keep feeding in across Lancashire and Cumbria, and the showers keep going
01:52across Scotland.
01:54Some good spells of sunshine between the years, scattered showers for Northern Ireland.
01:57Notice that fairly brisk wind, the wind's picking up at the moment and staying fairly stiff throughout Tuesday, but that
02:03fresher feel is what they'll bring.
02:05There's the cold fronts cleared out the way, so rather than temperatures in the mid-20s on Tuesday, we're struggling
02:10to get to 20 or 21 in some places only in the teens.
02:13And feeling cooler with that wind and feeling fresher because it just isn't as humid.
02:19Any outbreaks of rain clear from Kent's quite sharply through the evening.
02:23Showers then keep feeding in.
02:24The wind's really coming down from the north, northwest, so showers for Northern Scotland.
02:28Some coming through the Irish Sea into northwest England and across Wales as we head through the early hours of
02:34Wednesday morning.
02:35Wednesday then, a mix of sun and showers, but most of the showers continue to come in through the Cheshire
02:40Gap.
02:40There'll be quite a few, could be quite a wet morning for Manchester.
02:43Showers feeding into western parts of Wales.
02:45The odd one for the southwest, but many places dry by the afternoon.
02:49We may see some breaking out over eastern parts of England, but much of eastern Scotland, much of southern England
02:54will have a dry day on Wednesday and probably not too many showers for Northern Ireland.
02:59We'll cloud over here, though, as the next weather system approaches.
03:02Quite breezy early on, but those winds generally easing a touch as we go through the day.
03:07And temperatures were only really in the high teens for most places.
03:11So again, that fresher feel compared to what we've seen through the course of Monday.
03:16The weather continues to chop and change day by day through the rest of this week.
03:19For more on that, you'll want to watch the full week ahead video with Claire Nazir, available on our YouTube
03:24channel.
