00:20And if he does, then we're back to square one again, aren't we?
00:24This is a dangerous game for Oklahoma, Joe, because you said it.
00:28Anybody, anybody that, you know, caught notion, let alone watched the Michigan game last week,
00:35said, you know, one, they had no business winning.
00:37But two, you know, realistically, you scored seven points against Western Michigan.
00:41Your quarterback looked awful.
00:43You got the head coach questioning how long he's going to be your starting quarterback.
00:46I mean, this is a classic opposite pick in that everybody is saying Oklahoma,
00:52as good as they looked against UTEP, should really stop Michigan, right?
00:58So it does kind of set up for a bit of a letdown from Oklahoma
01:01and just maybe have Michigan rise to the occasion.
01:04I mean, they are a pretty good team, right?
01:05They're not as bad as they showed, I wouldn't think, last week.
01:08So if you're Venerables, you got to win, man.
01:11You said you got to win some of these games.
01:14And this would also, you know, I don't know what Michigan is going to end up doing,
01:17not maybe quite like Ohio State and Texas, but if Oklahoma can get a win over Michigan,
01:22that's a monster chip in their back pocket when it comes to the end of the year.
01:26They start evaluating who's got the better wins and this, that, and whatever for two lost teams.
01:31So, and Mateer, you know, listen, he got hurt last year.
01:34I don't know, you know, if we're going to use that as an excuse.
01:36He clearly tailed off, right, second half of the season after busting his hand.
01:40So chance for him to kind of step up and show the world that he's, you know,
01:43full of all the hype that he got before that injury.
01:50Yeah, so I do think, you know, and I had them in my opposite picks.
01:55I do think, I think Oklahoma does win.
01:58It's one of those, it's kind of like, you got to prove it to me.

02:02You know, I know it's classic.
02:04The whole world thinks Oklahoma's going to win.
02:06I was disappointed to see them being that big of a favorite.
02:09You know, I knew they played Oklahoma next week.
02:11And I'm like, man, I'm going to be all over Oklahoma.
02:14And then I saw Michigan be, I thought Michigan would be a favorite.
02:17Favorite, you know, maybe one two-point favorite.
02:20And then when I saw it at three and a half, four and a half,
02:22and then it bumped to five and a half.
02:23I'm like, oh, fudge.
02:24I tell you, the other thing is, you know,
02:27I don't think Michigan's getting any breaks, right?
02:30You know they're going to be scrutinizing those officials as much as you possibly can.
02:35And those officials who got really railroaded, right,
02:39they made the right call on the field last week.
02:41It was the guys upstairs that overturned it.
02:43But, you know, you kind of forget about that.
02:45You just say, oh, yeah, the officials, you know,
02:47they wanted Michigan to win.
02:49The fix was in, this, that, and what have you, right?
02:51So they kind of got thrown under the bus.
02:53I don't think Michigan's going to get the benefit of the doubt this year or this week.
02:58I think any chance, any close call is going to go Oklahoma's way,
03:04which makes it that much tougher for Michigan to win that game.
03:08So five and a half is a big number.
03:10You know, maybe under team totals, 19 and a half.
03:13I don't know how either team gets to 44 points.
03:15You know, Michigan's defense is really good.
03:17Obviously, Oklahoma's defense is terrific.
03:20You know, 44 points for a college football game nowadays really isn't that much.
03:25You know, you really, with all the scoring coming way, way down, you know,
03:30you've seen some games being under 44 and a half, even 43 and a half.
03:34So, but that'll be an interesting one.
03:36I'm glad we, you know, I hope the teams that lose don't get punished,
03:40whether it's Ohio State or Texas or Oklahoma or even Michigan.
03:44And that I want to give them credit for scheduling.
03:48You know, I know they're getting paid zillions of dollars from their networks,
03:51right?
03:51They're not doing this for free.
03:52I get that.
03:53But listen, they can easily say no.
03:55They can just say, you know what?
03:57We can schedule Topeka high.
03:59If I'm Michigan, I'm selling out.
04:01I'm getting 105,000 people.
04:03Same thing with Texas.
04:04I don't need to play, you know, Ohio State.
04:05I can play, you know, San Antonio and still sell, you know, 80,000 tickets.
04:11So I hope to give them credit for scheduling these games.
04:15And then at the end of the year, you know, if they have two losses,
04:20another team has one, give them credit for scheduling this game.
04:24As long as they don't get blown out.
04:25You know, if they lose by three touchdowns, four touchdowns, that's a different story.
04:29But if it's a competitive game, then I'll give them credit for actually making the schedule
04:33the way they did.
